i think u only get log files if u have an aim addon that does the logging (middleman, deadaim, aimutation, etc) oh, and i use DeadAIM and it has a log manager, but i found log files in 'My DocumentsAIM Logs' so u mite wanna try in that directory too

if it was ever on the windows updates, i should have it cause i've downloaded all the patches for that comp but i'll install that file too and see if it fixes it

turns out that i cant use WPA because when i try to get the computer to connect to it (the one connecting wirelessly) it doenst ever connect, so i was forced to go back to WEP i guess i'll try wpa again later wen i dont have anything to do

I have a wireless router, and i am currently not using the WEP key stuff, but rather im just restricting access so that only the computers i own can use the connection. Is there any advantage of using WEP over restricting access (based on MAC address)?

i think this is normal because i too have a linksys 802.11b router and i get about 5 Mbps on my computer which is connected directly to the router but my sisters computer is wirelessly connected and most i've ever seen her get is 3.8 Mbps
