  1. Firefox+IE combination....simply the best
  2. Usually that happens when you've run the program and even though u x'ed it windows thinks its still open. Sometimes you can get the file to delete if u just find the file in the process list (ctrl alt del) and end the process. Then it usually lets u delete. Sometimes a file doesnt delete after all that so u have to go into safemode and do it, and if that still doesnt work, try going to the command prompt and typing in "del type_the_path_of_the_file_or_just_drag_the_file_inside_the_cmd_window_and_it_will_put_the_path_in_automatically" ***Make sure u type in del first and then drag the file in, and be sure to leave a space after del.
  3. i think it might just be problem with outlook 2003 i have gmail set up with it and every now and then it wont receive mail but it will send it, and sometimes vice versa (this problem didnt happen when i used Mozilla Thunderbird) the only workaround i found for this was to wait a couple mins (idk, like 20 mins or something) then it just starts working again...its weird
  4. i just use png cause its smaller than bmp but seems to be the same quality
  5. eh...i dont think u wanna block port 80. i think its the web traffic port...so yea...
  6. look at where your arrow keys are....look directly above the left arrow key and you see 'delete', look above that and you see 'insert', and finally look above that and there is where 'print screen' lies
  7. Eh...these posts were always pretty popular and it was cool to see everyones desktop, so...i figure y not make another one
  8. lmao, i wonder if that guy really thought he was 'hacking' i hate networking and crud but even i know 127.0.0.1 isnt ever gonna be someones ip (something like internal looping or something, rite?) hehe its like the little 9 year olds on Halo PC that get pissed wen u snipe them and say they will hack ur comp :haha:
  9. The entries that look suspicious (to me)are the following: R1 - HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain,Search Bar = http://websearch.drsnsrch.com/sidesearch.cgi?id= R1 - HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSearchURL,(Default) = websearch.drsnsrch.com/q.cgi?q= O1 - Hosts: 81.173.5.200 crackspider.com O1 - Hosts: 81.173.5.200 www.crackspider.com O1 - Hosts: 81.173.5.200 crackspider.com O1 - Hosts: 81.173.5.200 www.crackspider.com Also, before posting your hijakthis log, it would proably be helpful if you also described what exactly is wrong Also, here is an automatic scan of it, it should also help, but since its automatic i dont know if you should go solely off of that http://www.hijackthis.de/logfiles/8a2f2dc705e03c7c2b3700867a1447fb.html
  10. these ad's that you guys r getting on gmail. what are they? i've never gotten anything like that in any of my emails that i've received (and i have like over 500 messages on gmail); i have never seen anything like that
  11. have u checked ur comp for any spyware or other things that mite be slowing it down ?
  12. FireFox 1.0.3 all the way
  13. i turned system restore off on that comp i think i guess that means i'll be going with the sfc /scannow option
  14. My sisters computer recently started being weird starting up. When i press the button to turn it on, it brings up the compaq logo and whatnot and then brings up the Windows XP loading screen (u know..the windows flag and the little meter that moves). Normally, it would stay on this load screen for like ~10-20 seconds before bringing the welcome screen. Now, it just stays on that load screen literally forever; it stayed on it for 10+ minutes as it moved the little loading thingy. So i figured maybe if i just restart it will work, but it didnt start up. So i restarted and loaded it with safe mode; it started this way, all my stuff was still there, but i noticed a new icon...WEATHERBUG...the horror....so i uninstalled it and then, ran adaware and spybot, they didnt find anything but cookies So i figured it was probably weatherbugs fault that the comp was being weird, but after restarting, it still would not start. So i come here, to the computer gurus @ testmy.net, wonder if theres any way to get it to work without having to reformat and install all the drivers and software and everything (its a pain in the ass..)
  15. does it do that for u in all browsers or only a particular one?
  16. its working for me try clearing ur cache and cookies, and then see if it works or not
  17. What is the best download manager out there? Something that is spyware/adware free, and not too memory-consuming Currently i'm using Leechget 2004 Anyone know of any other good ones better than Leechget?
  18. well, if sonicstage lets you burn cd's with it, i recommend you burn those oma files to a cd, and then use something like musicmatch to rip the songs from cd as mp3's
  19. judging from that picture, that cox test looks like this one flash (it was either flash or java applet) test that i took a while back, and its results were HORRIBLY off. honestly, dont go by the cox rating...ISPs never seem to have good speed tests (roadrunner austins speedtest is even worse than what yall cox people seem to have)
  20. Version 7.54 (the 'pro' one...which doesnt really seem to have any benefits from the free one...) well ur basically saying if it doesnt work in opera then the coder of the website is messed up...not me wanting to know whether or not cables a good coder or not... and why would i want to ask? maybe its not him being a bad coder, its just opera being a bad browser... why else would this website work perfectly fine on every other browser i have (IE, FireFox, Netscape 8.0, Maxthon), and show up all weird on opera
  21. read post below...sry admins...i screwd up posting and it got on 2 posts :/

  23. it might be your processor, 900 MHz seems kinda low
  24. Actually, testmy.net is one of the sites that displays wrong... so ur saying cable is a bad coder?? also, opera isnt really any faster than mozilla...actually, i get faster speeds on mozilla than i do on opera most of the time.
