How do i reflash,hardreset router?
Swimmer replied to duffman1234's topic in Networking and Hardware
upgrade you package to a high speed.. that will cost $$ otherwise you could get a new router with QoS and set how much speed each computer gets... like 50/50 or what ever you want.. that way you have a set amount no matter what... -
Here is what I found out about this thing.. i dont have the time to read 48 pages of posts.. http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic24247.html http://extremetechsupport.org/forum/showthread.phtml?t=64852 Sasser variant.. http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.removal.tool.html I also guess that MS released a patch for this exploit a while back.. so you might want to remove the worm then reapply the patch..

How do i reflash,hardreset router?
Swimmer replied to duffman1234's topic in Networking and Hardware
that is normal.. you are hitting the cap.. you dont have endless bandwidth.. so if one computer is pulling more bandwidth than the other.. the other computer is going to get what ever the bandwidth left.. -

How do i reflash,hardreset router?
Swimmer replied to duffman1234's topic in Networking and Hardware
did you read the instructions? start at 1472 and work down until you get a reply.. most of the linksys router work will on 1492.. so that would be 1492-28.. 1464 -
ISDN.. great if you can get it. .. 64kbps standard.. might be lucky and get a dedicated one with 128kbps.. Dialup is just a crap shoot.. not much you can do about it..

I am guessing that the red light on the motherboard is not a good thing.. I am going to need some more info.. was this a custom built computer? is the ling on the inside normally green? If you could throw a picture of this "light" and the pc itself that would be a huge help.. I am going to guess it is either motherboard related.. aka you might have distroyed it.. or it is ps related.. might have blown the power supply..

You are going to have to configure the MTU and maybe do some tweaking on the computer to get that speed.. Give this a try: http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=386&p_created=1084210366&p_sid=8oEIISMh&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9OSZwX3Byb2RzPTE3NiwxODEsMCZwX2NhdHM9JnBfcHY9Mi4xODE7My51MCZwX2N2PSZwX3NlYXJjaF90eXBlPWFuc3dlcnMuc2VhcmNoX25sJnBfc2NmX2xhbmc9MSZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PU1UVQ**&p_li=&p_topview=1 -

if you want to "reflash" or upgrade the firmware on the router for a linksys befSR41 you need to have an ethernet connection to the router.. with all other computer connections removed.. open ie and type 192.168.1.1 into the address box.. then follow the screen to the firmware section. here is a step by step from Linksys: http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=164&p_created=1084205146&p_sid=_3*yHSMh&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MTY2JnBfcHJvZHM9MCZwX2NhdHM9JnBfcHY9JnBfY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vycy5zZWFyY2hfbmwmcF9zY2ZfbGFuZz0xJnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9YmVmU1I0MQ**&p_li=&p_topview=1 -

This is what you are looking for.. It is going to be most likely on the left but some of the older laptops have them on the right. As long as you have a 32bit card bus.. PCMCIA then you can run a wireless card on that computer.. however, 98 doesnt always play nice with wireless cards..
-
that is the plan.. There is a program out there that does allow you do to projects like this one.. it looks like it might be a dual layered attempt.. depending on how many options I include..

Yeah you have to use the AOL software to sign on... Bummer.. but as wingzero2309 said once you are on you can launch IE or used Firefox..

Keep the memorex and the HP... Both at quality drives.. Check out this website to see which ones use the most media and which ones are the fastest.. http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/search/B/ I am going to guess that the HP and the Memorex are going to be the ones that you keep.. HP lightscibe is kickass.. so keep it anyways just for labeling..

What I understand is that if you contact tech support and you have teh Di524 with hardware version A1 you can get them to exchange the hard ware. I guess there is a problem with the MAC address filtering system on this version of the hardware. And with 1.11 I know that I can not use the router at all for some reason. I am going to give dlink a call tonight and see what happens with my router..
