yeah i was going to say.. that hard drive is on its way out.. My experince with dell replacing part has been a good one.. a keyboard, wifi card and power brick.. all not a problem and overnight shipping <- I had to really work for that!! they will not offer it!! As far as the drivers go.. get the computer up and running.. then just visit dell's website.. however, if you are need graphic drivers get them from the manufacture!! dell's video drivers are really old!! the best bet would be to create your own driver cd with the latest drivers..

So is this a hardware lag, low frame rates, or only in online gaming? If it is online it could be so many factors.. it could be the network itself, the server that you are connecting to, or even the other players creating the lag.. I would recommend that you just change the server that you are using.. If it is hardware related.. upgrade all of your drivers to the latest one.. for video card drivers try omegadrivers.net .. 90% of the time their drivers out perform ATI's general release drivers. They tweak them for gamers. Also check for game patches.. it isnt that uncommon for their to be really bad lag on 1.0 games for mutiplayer.. it just takes time for the developer to discover them. Looks like there have been quite a few patches released.. Looks like 1.1 and 1.2 had a lot of fixes for mutiplayer issues.. http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/splintercell3/scct_1.00_to_1.04_america.txt http://www.3dgamers.com/games/splintercell3/downloads/ that is where you can get the game patches..

the 2100 b does support WPA.. you might need to download this patch for windows xp.. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?amp;displaylang=en&familyid=009d8425-ce2b-47a4-abec-274845dc9e91&displaylang=en Intel says that it does support it http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/prowireless_mobile.htm As far as 60min.. as far as i know WPA dynamically changes the key.. so there is no set time for it to change.. are you sure you are not setting the IP release to 60 min?

Waste of time.. it wasnt really intended to be a "gaming" card. it was was released to compete with the MX4000 series from Nvidia.. I would invest if you have the money and are looking into upgrading.. a 9600XT or even a highend Nvidia.. like the 6600 6600 selection: http://www2.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?sourceid=Mozilla-search&Submit=Go&DEPA=0&description=6600&category=0&Go.x=0&Go.y=0 9600XT: http://www2.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?sourceid=Mozilla-search&Submit=Go&DEPA=0&description=9600XT&category=0&Go.x=0&Go.y=0 Make sure you are getting the right graphic card.. My guess is that the 9250 you have is AGP.. but it could be pci.. not sure didnt looking into it.. so make sure you get the right one.. not PCI-E!! that will not work!

http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/pro10GbE_SR_server_adapter.htm they have special nics for servers.. most likely they are networking with fibre instead of cat 5 or 6.

you have a dynamic ip address.. they could know that you are running a server so they are changing your ip more often.. you are going to have to either get a static ip address or go with their business class service to avoid this problem..

you can do what ever your heart desires to your machines.. it isnt uncommon for hackers to have a "test lab" of computer to try their new tricks... as far a guide i personally have none.. however.. there are a few books that you can read to get into this.. http://books.slashdot.org/books/05/08/08/192221.shtml?tid=187&tid=172&tid=6 check that out.. that might be what you want to do/look into..
