Yeah, the gaming center here still has the 6/512 package from before they stopped offering it, it's pretty cool, since it's about the fastest internet connection around here. There are speed tests from it in a thread further down the list. EDIT: Here they are. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5130 Kbps about 5.1 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 626 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Fri Jun 10 16:34:20 CDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 92X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.64 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 203.19 % faster than the average for host (swbell.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-09538UML1 :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 461 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 56 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Fri Jun 10 16:36:57 CDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 18.29 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 59.52 % faster than the average for host (swbell.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-1KAO2LQ37 I did manage to get 513 Kbps upload once when there were only two people on the network, but it only happened once.

Pretty crappy, I know, but it's all I can get right now.
-
Nah, it's fake, good joke though, I got a laugh out of it.

Well, I checked out the Sager 5720, and it's not as high performance as the alienware I listed before, but I configured a Sager 9890 with the exact same specs as the alienware I picked, and I added the 0 dead pixel policy and 2 year warranty, and it was still $213 cheaper than the alienware, $294 if you pay Sager with cash, which I will. When I configured the 9890, though, it didn't say anything about the sound card.
-
I dunno, it's not really online gaming.
-
Yeah, that's why I'm saving money for a laptop, it's not exactly handheld, but it's portable, and that's what I need. At the rate I'm going now though it's going to take me a couple years. http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Pages/area-51m_7700.aspx?SysCode=PC-LT-AREA51-M-7700&SubCode=SKU-EXTREME That's the notebook I'm planning on getting, of course, when I get the money, all the specs will be a lot different, because the technology will have changed. Processor - Intel

Still though, 20/2, that'll give FIOS some major competition. FIOS's reliability, though, from what I've seen, is better than OOL's, most OOL subscribers' scores aren't anywhere close to yours.

I would use a larger test file but I can't get a bigger one using Opera, it's too slow.

It is indeed extremely addictive.

HOLY CRAP MAN!!!!!! That has to be a new record! Sorry, but I had to say something. As for getting your speed up to where it's supposed to be, I can't help. Call your provider again and have them come check it out I guess. -

Every time I open up somethink like my documents or my computer it opens calculator too (I know, it's wierd). Sometimes when the calculator pops up my AVG shield says: Virus Detected! While opeining file: C:WINDOWSmirindaspi.exe Trojan horse Generic.BNS And sometimes it will pop up with 1 or 2 more like CWINDOWSsystem32mrindaspi.exe. I keep on clicking delete file and it says object was deleted, but it keeps on detecting the virus after I've already deleted it. Help anyone?

They might have upgraded you to the 8/768 plan, but even so, those speeds are awesome.
-
Yeah, those are AWESOME speeds for dial-up, I can guarantee you're not going to get any faster than that.
-
Well, if it compresses the songs and makes them smaller, then it probably lowers the quality a little bit.
-
Where did you click to start the internet download?
-
You got 9 right! Excellent, you have the makings of a proper propeller head. Darn, I missed one.
