While I do live in america, I gotta give the boys of diana props. They are there mothers boys. They do lots to help others, when most kids in there spot would be in trouble all the time. Yea Buntz, That was the problem Someone installed the card without hooking up the power to the card,I am such a dork. Have yet to really push the upgrades I just installed. Give me a few days. Be intresting to see how big of diffrence I get with the new video card and 6000 dual core cpu I put in. Installing the cpu was really easy. Only have one question if anyone knows. The peace that holds the fan to the heat sink is kinda goofy. The old one had 4 screws, The new heatsink just has 4 tiny holes, Any Idea how to remove it for cleaning?? Another queston, Software to keep a eye on cpu temps, Its a amd dual core and a asus mother board, Plus for video card??

I have a asus m2npv-vm motherboard. Replaced the cpu. Everything went fine. In fact I am useing the computer now to post this. Problem is Darn thing has a high pitch beep that is continueous. I have tried to reflash the bios and no luck. Not sure what to do. Any ideas.

Yea, But really I FINALLY figured it out. Im a big believer in backing up things. I can restore from scratch in a hour and 30 min from putting the disk in the drive to tweaked and ready to fly. I love nlite.

Not sure but what about peerguardian ?? Not real up on it yet. Just started using it.

How Can I backup winamp and all the settings? Only thing I have been able to find is backing up the plugin folder, Yea I know the path to it and such. Is there a better way?? Just dont want to have to put in all my music play lists and such. Thanks.

Saw the kimbo slice fight tonight. While it is still to early to tell, Just don't think kimbo was cut out for mma. I know the dude is getting up there in age. Tonights fight was really bad for him. It was over in the first 14 seconds of round one. Kimbo came it, the dude took him down with a couple of short kicks and a punch then just rained punches down on him. Kimbo just really looked lost, not sure what to do. He may come back, may win a few more fights. But I really just don't see him doing much in mma. He just can not seem to take a punch. When someone with real power hits him, it just dazes him. Looks to have a glass jaw.

I have never been to one. This is just a idea. Make a small section and call it "safety-net" A place wear kids under say the age of 12 can surf on a computer with "net nanny" or some other software to protect them from porn and chat. Parents can surf and work while there kids can surf, maybe bookmark Disney type sites. Put some background wall paper with Disney characters. Oh look into buying if ya can a program called "deep freeze" no mater what is done to a computer once its rebooted it goes back to original state. Just a couple of ideas.

If its xp you have ghost 2003 has never let me down once. Not sure it will work on vista. Acrons has failed me one to many times. Ghost 14 may be ok as well. Never used it myself.

I have played with computers when windows 98 was the operating system of choice. I have played with and installed TONS of programs.(thank you ghost 2003 for saving my butt tons of times) I ran across this free program about a month ago. I was shocked not only how well it worked on my computer (xp pro) but the diffrence it made on the gf mom's computer (vista). While I won't rely on it for spyware everything else works great. Its a fix everything type of program. Best of all its free. Hit one button and let it go. Even made my internet faster, and normally I use cablenut. Have for years. Heating really should not be a issue. I have a 120mm front and back of my case, 80 mm top side. Everything I have seen continues to point me to the 8800. Even toms hardware. I am not looking for a hardcore push every game to max, brag about fps or whatever. I simply want the game to run with out stuttering and such. I planed on 200 bucks on the upgrade. That card with the 6000 dual core processor puts me right there in that range. Should get me by for a couple more years. Only thing that scares me is switching out the cpu. The 6 connector needed for the 8800 has me a bit baffled. Not sure I have that. I only have a 400 watt power supply. So I continue to look around and google the heck out of everything. This will be the last upgrade for this set up. Will buid a new one in 2 or 3 years. I have the antec 400 watt smart power. So I think I should be ok fine with the updates mentiond. If anyone see a problem Please let me know asap. I ship out my order Oct 3 friday morning. Hopeing for even more advice and I apreciate everything up to this point. Thinking of jumping up my procesor as well. Have the dual core atholon 4200 may make the jump to this one. I have the 8600gt card right now. Been a great card can play all the games released up to this point. Paid 110 bucks for it about a year ago I think I see the 8800gt cards have droped to 110 120 range. See lots of good things about them. Should I make the upgrade??

I would try safe mode. Restart the computer hit and hold the f8 key. See if it will start in safe mode. If it does, then its probally software, and something in your startup programs.

While I don't believe in piracy, tell ya all. Someone comes to me or finds them selfs with the dreaded letter from the stupid riaa. I would step up and help them get rid of evidence on there computer. Not sure it would help, for sure would not hurt ya know. Damm riaa. Flipping Nazi's. The money is silly. Ok if ya did it fine. Pay a grand and call it day. If your truly Innocent. Say the word I would help out. But this whole pay 20 or 30 grand is nuts. I mean really, its just ending up in the pocket of the riaa. Have yet to see them pay the musicians.

I had the same darn probles with a seagate harddrive. I worked on it for 2 weeks and tried everything. Finally just decided to spend the 80 bucks for a new drive. Was not worth the hassles and stress. Made sure the harddrive could never be recoverd (tore it apart with a hammer and chisel.) Sure it was a bit of work but was nice releaving that stress. Stupid thing will never work again now.

I really think it all boils down to the price of gas. Gas goes up, everything goes up, people have to make tough choices. Go without allot of things.

I switched my torrent client to azureus. Also use peer guardian. I only run peer guardian when I run azureus. I know how to make them both open at the same time with a simple .bat file. Just seems a bit slow. Is there a quicker or easier way? If someone wants to know how to do this just ask and I will tell you how I did it. Works pretty nice. Just a bit slow. For peer guardian I find that http://iblocklist.com/index.php seems to work and update better than the default. Anyone got a better list?

Used to use utorrent. Gave Azureus a shot. Really like it. Utorrent takes forever to connect to seeds. Azureus connects faster. Not sure about if it downloads faster. In the torrent world things just take time. Azureus did switch to vuze which I hate. There is the option in the torrent world to download the latest azureus without Vuze. Or Just use the 2.5 verson of azureus. Both work well.

Oh wow I feel stupid. It was peer guardian that was stopping it. I had it set to start invisable and forgot it. I disabled it and now its fine.

Anyone else having problems getting on the website? Tried opera and firefox. Been this way for 2 or 3 days.

I finally got sick of itunes. The bloat and quick time. Finally made the switch to winamp and have not looked back. I found this for winamp, http://www.fxsound.com/dfx/index.php?vendor=0&subvendor=0&plus=0&refer=0 All I can say is WOW!! The diffrence it made. Just brings the music to life. Works for other players as well. Won't work for itunes that I am aware of. If you can, give it a shot. Its really unbelievable the diffrence it makes.

Opera for me, Keep firefox and maxthon in the right click menue of my opera just to make sure its the web page and not opera, if a website is slow. Use maxthon to keep my windows updated.
