Yea firefox extensions are nice. For me, the ability to edit my right click menue is what keeps me with opera. Myself dont need allot of bells and whistles. No toolbars and stuff like that. WIth a bit of work, opera can be customized to your exact taste. One example, the ablility to add bookmarks to my right click. I can open the same page in i.e. or firefox or maxthon, again with a simple right click. But with firefox there extenstions are hard to beat. Most will stay with firefox because of them. Like I said, strong and weak points.

Found this article about a browser I fell in love with a year ago. Opera. Written well by a user of firefox. http://www.h3rald.com/articles/firefox-lovers-guide-to-opera . While future releases may change, and the adblocker they call "content blocker" works pretty good, it still not as good as firefox. WIth the net getting more and more ads every place, I just made the choice to spend my 26 bucks and bought a copy of admuncher, which imho is the best for blocking ads. So it matters not which browser I may use, admuncher gets rid of the ads and does make surfing lots faster, even with firefox. WIth admuncher and Opera, surfing is just super fast and no anoying ads. In the end you should always use which ever browser works best for you. Never be afraid to try something diffrent. No one browser is the best. All have both strong and weak points. Use whats best for you.

I built mine about 6 months ago or more. Have the dual core 4200 atholon with 2 gig of ram. I have a asus motherboard. Been really happy with it. I know atholon at one time was talking about 2 dual cores on the same motherboard. If and when I make another build I would be forsure wanting to build that. The quads I have really herd nothing about good or bad. I would think there would be a bottleneck issue with the quads but could be wrong.

All this hype is gotta be putting manhunt 2 sales through the roof. EBay and or torrent sites are gona be busy. Then of course we have the pc verson that sooner or later will be released. Rock Star is laughing all the way to the bank.

Yea I am getting sound no problem. I just can not get the sound to save. Any ideas??

Ok with some help I got the whole web cam thing figured out. Problem is when I record it I get no sound. I have just a stock sound card. Do I need a better sound card to capute and record sound or am I doing something wrong??

When I video chat with windows live messenger, I need a program that will record and save the video part. That make more sense??

Had no idea about this with vista. Hopefully someone will come along with a adjuster to fix it. Until then, sounds like another reason to avoid vista.

I would have my doubts microsoft has the ability to block a reinstall. They can however stop the updates, detect it is a pirate verson, and all that good stuff. I am almost shocked his copy was found. Hackers have xp and microsofts number. They know how to get around the validation. I am not a hacker, no idea how they do it. I bought xp pro from new egg for 130.00. Now its on to vista. I hate vista so bad I refuse to install it even though I have a copy that will probally pass validation.

Try tools, adhunter options and make sure everything is checked. Maxthon2 Now has a plugin that works like firefoxes. For the life of me I can not recall the name of it. You can to to the plugin downloads and look for it. Or You could post a quick question in the quest forum and I am sure it will take no time to get the link. I do use maxthon2 from time to time. Nice browser. I just gave up on the ad blockers that browsers offer. Paid my 26 bucks and bought admuncher. Best investment I have ever made.

The service pack 3 beta has been out for awhile. The official one from microsoft that is. I posted a link to one while back. That link is no longer up and running. There have been several sites that offer what they call service pack 3. Its just all the hot fixes in one package to date. What the diffrence is between microsofts and the others is something I have no idea of.

If you ever do that again, throw opera into that mix. Be intresting to see how well it does.

I know lynx distributes distros that way. I am sure there are other files as well. Some independent movies and some music as well. All you can do is check the description to see. I believe some shareware programs may be done that way as well. I could be wrong about the shareware. The torrent sites themselfs are really not the problem. WIth any torrent site you will find lots of pirate stuff. Its just the nature of the beast. I am almost sure on thoes same sites you will find legal stuff as well.

Just looking for the best software to use a silly web cam. Not sure if yahoo's is ok fine. Or there is better. GF had to have one. Myself Don't need one or want one. Sure could use a idea or 2 thanks all. Just something simple. Turn on the web cam. Open the software and the video works fine.

As you my fellow posters are out and about shoping. If you can afford it. Stop by and take a name from the christmas tree, and buy something for someone who may recieve nothing. I had a friends last year that had to depend on that one. I am telling ya. Her kids were so happy that "santa" made it after all. They were afraid they would be skiped this year. After seeing what a HUGE help this is for thoes with little or no money. I go out of my way every year to get a name and somehting cool for a kid. Normally I get a super cool radio controlled car for a kid. I just hope if you can afford it. Get a name from the tree. The diffrence it makes is unbeliveable. Hope this post is ok. Well the female I am seeing has started to refer to my computer as my other girlfriend. (It is cheaper and has a power switch to shut it up........ I mean off) So the last month or so She has asked me what I was gonna get "my other girlfriend" for Christmas. After some thought. I decided. I am gonna get her a bigger set of breasts. Think I will go with a 24 inch monitor that will replace the 19 I have. Bigger is better and size does matter. So what you all got planed to buy "your other girlfriend ?"

This is kinda a 2 part post. First I downloaded the latest drivers for nividia (my video card). Wow that was a mistake. Crashed my puter HARD!! I had to boot into safe mode and uninstall my video card then reinstall it. If you have yet to play crysis. I forsure recomend you getting it if your computer will handle it. It takes on beefed up system. My G Force 8600 Gt can play it. Just have to run it on medium settings is all. I have 2 gig of ram and amd 4200 dual core. It runs fine. Looks amazing. I am so happy with that card I have. Especially the price I paid for it at the time.

While I would believe most would do this I better warn people. If your gonna use prime95 to push your cpu, and you have the software to mesure that temp, Make sure you know the limits of your cpu. Find out first what the max temp your cpu should reach. Use your friend google or ask around.

Found this free program. Been looking off and on for a month or so on just how to edit my right click menu in windows. Not real crazy messing with regedit. This gives you the option to undo what you did. Easy way to clean up and organize your right click menu. Only need to run this for about 10 min. Make sure you have a temp guage or software to mesure it. See how hot your cpu runs. Worked on my dual core. Added some fans and did some mods on my case got temps to drop 10 c Points.

This toy was originally made in china. I have no desire to see a child hurt, I can forsure see americans buying toys made in america. This whole mess of late has got to have some parents freaked out. My kids are older now and have yet to have there own kids. When they do have there own kids, I am gonna forsure buy the most anoying battery eating toy I can find !!

Yea thats why I don't use firefox. I still gotta wonder if its really a trojan or its a false positive. You have a firewall, If it was a trojan it would ask for access to the net, and your firewall would block anything trying to come it. I am willing to bet its not one. Heck give it a shot and see what happens. It dosen't install anything. I started using opera about 6 months ago. Wow I sure love it. I will be the first to admit while opera's content blocker works ok, its still not the best. Proxython makes opera a bit slower. I found that admuncher just makes opera smoke. Best 30 bucks I ever spent. I am so happy with it I am gonna probally buy a copy of it for the gf puter. From time to time I do see on the opera forums former users of firefox there. I myself was that way. While every browser has its good and bad points. The way I have opera set up and tweaked other browsers just seem cumbersome. May be something to think about and try?
