Myself. If there is something on the net I really want, I just use a prepaid credit card. Thoes things are great. In time more and more people will use them I would think.

If you worked and filed taxes you should get that refund in may. Maybe you could use a bit of that to ad to what mom has to offer and get a mac? Or maybe if mom knew you were getting much more bang for the buck with a mac she may be willing to fudge that amount a bit. Not sure. Just a couple of ideas.

Its my own fault I should of saved that article. I can see that happining. I mean we get charged for everything else. There are fees upon fees on most bills. I believe its england that has to pay artist so much every time they play a song on the radio. What I am waiting to see is them shutting down sites like rapidshare and other places like that. I for one miss record shops. You just don't see them around anymore. But what I most want to see is the riaa shutdown. They are just bullies with money and high priced lawyers that are takeing advantage of the poor. Its a racket. You pay us 2 grand or we sue you for 20,000. Heck your gonna pay 2 grand just for the lawyer. In time I sure hope it happens.

Yea americans are and can be lawsuit happy. Its only a matter of time, the right attorney, riaa is in big trouble. Same with the music artists, they have recieved nothing, so they will be suing riaa next. While I can not provide a link, I did see one of the big record exs suggest a 5 dollar per household charge that would go into a fund to recoup the losses because of file sharing. If that happens and I hope it does, bye bye riaa. How can they sue if your already paying a monthly free for it. The riaa are just bullies that prey on the poor. Sue them for huge money, offer to settle for a thousand or 2. Whats a poor person to do? Pay the settlement or pray for the court to go your way.

My bad. I should of put up a screen shot. So here it is. See the highlighted area where it says registration entires?? For the life of me I can not rember the key I had to add to the registry and the location to get that. Something I use allot. So if you guys have any ideas.

I added a option to my right click menu and for the life of me I just can not rember how I did it. When I right click on a empy space on my desktop in windows xp, I can go down to the "new" option and have the choice "registration entries" Just alows me to make a reg file and I simply love and use that option lots. Can you guys and gals jog my memory and help me out please? I have spent a hour looking on the net and no luck.

If you have phone service, why not dsl?? I would be willing to bet there has got to be someway out of your contract. Maybe some type of loophole or something. Bet if you ask around there is a way out of that contract. Just a thought.

A new game is comming out that requires 3 gig of ram. Its assassins creed. While I have 2 gig on a xp setup, I am thinking of jumping up to 5 gig. Thats 2 slots with 2 gig sticks each and 2 slots with 512. I did try assassins creed on my 2 gig dual core and it runs fine. I have a 8600 gt video card as well. Props to the people that suggested that card. At one time I considerd jumpping to the 8800gt, just seems pointless. If the 8600 will run assassins creed and does ok fine with farcry 2, I will just wait will a game comes out I want and my card is unable to run.

Yea I ran across this little ditty and a site that would be considerd by most "questionable". Its stable and works on my machine. I have a directx 10 card. There is no promises it will work on your machine as well as it does mine. The install is in russian, I have no clue how to speak russian and I was smart enough to figure it out. edit: grammar...

Its never gonna stop. To late anyway. The record industry shot themselfs in the foot. Some could even say the bands themself did the same. The record industry knew about napster LONG before the general public. They could of went in and quietly bought them out. Instead they chose to ignore the problem. Then lars the drummer from metalica decided to sue. Yea he had the right. Problem is he helped bring music sharing to the general public. Most had no idea of this and how it was possible. Lars might of well just put up a huge sign "HOW TO DOWNLOAD ALL MUSIC FREE!!". Now you have apple and other sites on a pay per song. Why buy the whole c.d. when you can get the song or 2 you want for a couple of bucks. The internet is a two way street. Yea lots of good. Lots of bad. Poor managment and choices on the business it affects the most. Its not over. Sooner or later the bands will go after the riaa. Laws will be put into affect to get a grip and control this out of control group. They have lost lawsuits before and will continue to loose. Yet no one has yet to ask "Hey where is the money going??" .

Something needs to be done about this riaa garbage. They are one step away from being like the irs. Tons of cash for the best lawers. Funny how all this money they have has yet to make it the artists hands.

When firefox 3 becomes final I will give it a shot. I do have verson 2 on my computer. I myself just use opera. Have to wait and see what firefox 3 has to offer. Not sure on what changes it will make. I myself dont need a adblocker anymore in a browser. Started using admuncher about 6 months ago. Best 26 bucks I ever spent.

There is a program that will completely remove nortons. If memory serves nortons was the one to write the program to completely remove its anti virus software from your computer. I would think a good registry cleaner would do the same but unsure? I never used it. Did use avg free, started getting to many false positives and started and still use to this day avast. I know I have worked on several computers a year or two ago that had nortons and still tons of virus. Nortons is just horrid. It may have improved but have my doubts. I will just stay with avast.

The ol lady turned on my computer. Got the blue screen of death. Said "checking consistincy of disk" and deleted a bunch of files. Lost my opera bookmarks as well. I just got home from work. This is all the info I got. Freaked her out lol. No biggie. I back up everything. If I was guessing. I would say I got a harddrive going bad. Your thoughts??

So dlewis you think I should wait and buy the 9600gt?? or Wait til it hits then get the 8800 gt? Yea 8 gig of ram is a bit of a over kill. I ran across some "extra money" and thought I would use a small part of it to go ahead and upgrade my computer. Plus 8 gig of ram just sounds cool. Its a Tim Taylor thing.

Been thinking of chaning out my video card. Jumping from a 8600gt to a 8800gt. Just not sure if the upgrade is necessary. So far I can run crysis on medium settings. Also considering the release of far cry 2. With ram becoming so super cheep. I have already decided to jump my machine from a 2 gig to a 8 gig outfit. The video card is the iffy part. Should I go ahead and get that as well or wait?? What do you guys and gals think.

I had a 19 inch, no dead pixles, jumped to a 22 and I have one. Talking to a friend of mine he had the same thing going on. So I gotta wonder. If the monitor is bigger, do you run a greater risk of dead pixles.

Now this is gonna sound retarded. I do have a modified verson of xp. But I did change the key in it to my legit key I paid for. There are some people who have modified versons of xp out there that just smoke, In time the same will be done with vista. Its almost funny. Most modified versons of xp have a vista look and feel to them. I am willing to bet games would be the worst at people "using and playing" without paying for. Like someone else said. Most paid software programs have a free open source equal out there.

Yea I had several that I was able to rub out no problem. Just have one left. I am working on it now with UDPixel. Not sure if it will work. Seems to be getting smaller. If it does finally get rid of it I will recomend it. Oh its just a cheep one from wally world. I still have the recipt. Think I get 90 days but with them its longer.

Tried to edit my last post but no luck. Anyway I used a dry rag and gently rubed the spots and they just disappeared. So couple of questons. 1.Should I be thankful I only have one dead pixle or return it to the store, its only a few days old. 2.Is there a reason for them in the first place? I am running my settings on the monitors recomended settings. 1280x960 Could sure use your imput.
