It works well. The service pack 3 that is floating around. I took out my slave drive. Installed Just xp with service pack 2. Went ahead and validated my xp.(You can install service pack 3 with out validateing). The only updates needed was net framework. I really recomend this one. For anyone that has had to reinstall Xp, the updates it needs takes forever to download and install. This speeds up the process by quite abit. I am sure by the time the final version comes out there will be more updates on the disk. But for now, it sure is handy to have. Its just a shame it took microsoft so long to release this.

Stay tuned. Im gonna take out my slave drive, Install xp pro with service pack 2, Validate it, then put this version of service pack 3 on it. See if all goes well or it just turns my computer into a nice pretty paper weight. I have my slave drive backed up to a ghost image so no worries there. So In a day or 2 I will let you all know how it turned out. Any bets?? See me in a day or two.

I am not sure this conversation is allowed, Its forsure a gray area of the internet. I First off wanna say I forsure do not condone stealing software. If you are gonna use it pay for it. I just find that some of the xp pro versions that are out here are super handy. They are slipstreamed with the latest updates and some nice tweaks. Now I Do change the key that comes with them, I have my own legit xp pro key I paid for. I found a verson called LastXp version 16 that just so rocks. I realize I could do this myself, Just not good at that kinda stuff and my luck really blows at trying to attempt it. So you ever use a modified version of xp pro? Which one do you use??

I have the program true transparency. It is skinable. I have attached a file of one of the skins. Would love it if you could change the color to a bit more blue, as well as a nice red without loosing the transparency. Thoes are the only 2 colors I want and like, blue and red. If you have vista ( I so hate vista) the blue and red they use are really nice. Thanks.

Sorry I gotta put my 2 cents in here. What is it with messing with the page file in xp? Moving it to another drive and or resizing it and or whatever. You are not gonna notice any diffrence. In fact messing may make things worse. Leave it be. While tweaking xp does help, pagefile in xp is one thing you need to leave alone.

I do recall reading something in readers digest about a dog that did something allong the same line. The woman had a dog that helped the disabled. Seemed like the Dog was tired all the time. She went in for some medical reason. She told the doc the strange story how the dog was so tired all the time. For whatever reason the doc put 2 and 2 together and did a sleep study on her with the dog next to her. Every once in awhile the dog would whine and nudge her or lick her hand and such. After the doc saw the study they did he found she sufferd from sleep apnea, she would stop breathing, when she did the dog would nundge her to wake her up enough to start her breathing again. Animals can do some amazing things without any explanation, dogs, cats, and I am sure other animials as well. I do love cats, I think they taste kinda like chicken myself. Oh settle down. Im kidding. Cats are ok, I am just more of a dog person myself.

Arabian Sea (SatireWire.com) — Canadian television reported Friday that a Canadian warship in the Arabian Sea had seized a tanker suspected of smuggling oil from Iraq, leading many to suspect that the report was a hoax. The Halifax Class frigate Vancouver. Honest. "You're kidding, right? Canada has a warship?" asked U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. "Like for war? "Does Canada know?" he added. "Nobody was more stunned than we were," said Kali Omari, first mate of the seized vessel. "We saw this frigate steaming toward us, and we were worried, but then we saw the maple leaf on the flag, and we thought, 'Oh, Canadians. What the hell do they want?'" When an officer of the HMCS Vancouver announced that the tanker was about to be boarded, the crew of the detained ship was confused, said Omari, but their confusion quickly turned to anger when they saw what the Canadians sailors were carrying. "They were armed. With guns," said Omari. "Canadians. With guns. And a warship. What is this world coming to?" "They were pretty rude, too," Omari added. "They started asking us all sorts of questions, like 'Where did that oil come from?' But first we wanted to know who gave them the damn warship." According to Canadian defense officials, the Vancouver is one of four frigates deployed in the region to assist in the U.S.-led Afghanistan conflict. The tanker was stopped, officials said, because its cargo of crude oil violated United Nations sanctions, which prohibit Iraq from selling oil unless in exchange for food and medicine. The U.N. said the incident is already under investigation, and promised swift action against those found responsible for giving the Canadians guns. Initial findings indicate that the Vancouver crew may have been watching too many American television shows.

I don't ever use system restore. Its the first thing I turn off when installing xp for myself. I use norton ghost 2003 To keep xp backed up. I had always thought you could never run two versions of the same os system. Then one day playing with the boot files it kinda dawned on me. Hey why not? I also learned another neat trick. I downloaded a copy of xp pro. It was a modified in a way that looked pretty cool to me. Put my legit key in it and works fine. Oh the things you can learn playing around and just trying it out. But again. I ALWAYS keep a ghost image of the instalation on a seperate partition. That way if my idea fails I simply resotre it with ghost.

I had always thought it was impossible to dual boot with the same versions of xp. You could not put xp pro on both the master and slave drive and dual boot them. By golly yes you can. I was goofing around and wanted to see if it could be done. I did it. I just renamed xp pro to xp home in the boot file, then installed xp pro again and it was done. Works anyway. Let me guess you all knew this the whole time??

Just a short note. Not all steroids are a bad thing. With the recent death of chris and throwing around the word "steroids" allot, most will assume they are all a bad thing. So if you go to your doc, and they wanna put you on a steroid type med, Don't get all flipped out. Not all steroids are the same. There are some that are used by wrestlers to bulk up. There are countless others who take them for Asthma, and other various medical conditions with no ill side effects. Just don't lump the word "steroid" with body builers, and wrestling and death. Steroid's are a drug, and there are countless drugs that contain steroids, Some are used for valid reasons. Others are abused for all the wrong reason. My kid's doc wanted to put him on a steroid medicine, he refused because he was scared. I just don't want this to happen to you guys.

Now that alot more facts are out, what a mess. I realize allot of speculation on why's, and hows comes. Sometimes there are just no clear reasons why. The dude was just messed up in the head. Never could understand how someone could decide to end there own life, and take others with them.

B17...poison or a cure - what do you think
ninjageek replied to disturbed's topic in General Discussion
This topic gets me a bit wound up. Lets face it the drug company's have a BIG hand in what is allowed on the market and what is not. If someone is near the end of there life. Then why not. Let them try it or try other methods. Something they think will work. If they believe enough it just may help. The lack of common sense and decency just bums me out. Don't smoke grass to help with after affects of kemo. Its addictive. Hey instead lets put oxycotton on the market instead. It 10 times more expensive, Its almost pure heroin. There are countless other drugs on the market that can lead to abuse and addiction. Thats ok. Long as the drug companies make the cash. God forbid you can grow it yourself to alleviate pain. That is just wrong. I guess to work in government, you MUST not have common sense. The drug companies are laughing all the way to the bank. -
I need serious help with my email SPAM RELATED HELP
ninjageek replied to GIXXERGUY6's topic in General Discussion
I promise. I am NOT trying to rub salt in the wound. Get yourself a generic e-mail account from hotmail or yahoo. Use that one for all your internet stuff. You can block the spam from there. Then use another account for friends and family. Always treat e-mail like your phone number. One number for the garbage calls, One number for friends and family.
