Nop, you are probably wrong.you can beam or face directly your subscriber module to the access point (base station) if you know exactly the location of the base station.
But if you don't know exactly where the base stations location are, you can still determine.There are several ways to do it, one is to tilt your antenna and observe at the Frequency spectrum ( which frequency indicates high power (in dbm, the more negative the weaker the power)) and at the AP list, which among of the APs register high RSSI value. From there, you can now try every possible codes and see which one works for you.
