  1. @extreme fusion, look for the posts in here about accessing your canopy. it involves the ESN or mac address of your SM. as what i have read in this forum they are using the command arp -a in the command prompt. C: arp -a once you have the mac address then its time for you to convert it to decimal. that will be the IP address you will going to use to access the canopy page. Just search that topic in this forum
  2. Think of jitter as noise, is an unwanted variation of one or more signal characteristics in electronics and telecommunications. Jitter may be seen in characteristics such as the interval between successive pulses, or the amplitude, frequency, or phase of successive cycles. Jitter is a significant factor in the design of almost all communications links.(wikipedia.com) dns - domain name server -convert the website address into hex address... open dns - a free dns server.
  3. TO SPEED UP YOUR SMARTBRO INTERNET SPEED, LOOK FOR A BETTER ACCESS POINTS / BASE STATIONS!!!
  4. cablenuts/ tcp optimizer might speedup your internet connection, but not a major factor of speeding up your internet speed. it's base station performance that matters.
  5. EFFECTIVE TWEAK: Search for a better ACCESS POINT/ BASE STATION. my speed with my new base station:
  6. comparison of speedtest, at 8:5 WARNING!!...do not post linking urls to other speed test sites per forum rules
  7. The trend is that the speed slows down during peak hours... @8:41pm
  8. A combination of both, facing your antenna to the different base station and you have to access the canopy page and changing the color code of the desired access point found at the AP list.
  9. welcome kirayama!!! you can change ur base station. me transferred my antenna to different basestation because my old base station where my antenna homed have some tech problem. My speed after transferring to other base station: WARNING!!...do not post linking urls to other speed test sites per forum rules
  10. I did not use cablenut or tcp optimizer, no tweaking!!! just a result when i tried to transfer to a different accesspoint on a different basestation. conclusion: maybe because it's dawn that's why this speed is attainable.
  11. yep that is the principle for information capacity : channel bandwidth = 2 x signal bandwidth.
  12. @elvin 665 kbps is the maximum transmission bandwidth, therefore smartbro internet bandwidth will be "accommodated" or "fit" to that channel bandwidth. The principle is that, Transmission bandwidth > = twice signal bandwidth <----- information capacity. As how the smartbro control the bandwidth, the smartbro has its so called Bandwidth Allocator/ Controller, they can control the amount of bandwidth being shared by the subscribers. Even they are using Time division Multiplexing, meaning constant bandwidth of frequency at a certain period of time, but as the number of subscribers increases, correspond to an increase of number of time slots over a period of time, therefore affecting the traffic of the network resulting to slow internet connection ( network congestion). Right I have reached that 400+ mark, but the sad thing is the base station where I homed is now very congested. I can only reach my internet speed of 400 + during these hours.
  13. Ur welcome @elvin. The one that you've seen on the link test simply indicates the maximum amount of bandwidth that the microwave link (or Transmission channel in communications engineering term) can accommodate. The Information Bandwidth that smartbro provides is less than the transmission bandwidth!!!
  14. By the way, I can cancel my internet connection anytime I want.
  15. Unfortunately there is no other ISP provider at this moment. I just keep on bugging the tech support of smartbroken. I am really not satisfied!!! The Connection is okay, all the indicators/parameters are satisfied (jitter, RSSI, etc). The BIG PROBLEM is on the BANDWIDTH still UNRESOLVED!!! Masyadong Kuripot sila when it comes to bandwidth.
  16. All I can say smartbro sucks!!! Tweaks are just experimental. The ultimate solution to speed up the internet is for the smartbroken engineers to upgrade its basestation capacity. The bandwidth are being shared to all the subscribers and it cannot accommodate the required bandwidth per subscriber. SMARTBRO simply BROKEN!!!
  17. i am disbeliever, i have tried all of this b4. their DNS servers are broken - too many request timed out during ping test, that's why it takes time to load up the webpage. What should be improve is their dns servers not to be congested all the time, and improvement on their bandwidth allocation to each one of us.
  18. what's nice with email is that you will have a solid evidence than just a call on their hotline. They will need to actually work for your complaints though still it will takes time.
  19. @Jpveneracion, your antenna is not broken, it's the SMARTBRO internet service provider is the DAMN broken!!! EVEN your BASE STATION REACHES TO its MAXIMUM level say RSSI is 4000 and jitter is 0, if the BANDWIDTH that SMARTBROKEN allocated is quite small YOUR SPEED will be STILL very SLOW!!! IT"S NOT YOUR PC has a DEFECT IT IS THE INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER.
  20. Lolz @morizatos i am already veteran of this complaints since the first month of my connection
