  1. tweak your canopy for a better AP. not all will have a good tower link between you and your canopy. and tweak if you have found a nice AP for an optimal speed.
  2. jun how long was your lease? how long was it able to give you when you encountered that lease error? haha im stucked at the moment with 7 days of lease, renewable after ip renew for another 7 days again.
  3. aight thats a straight forward answer.
  4. haha nice pics. i bet you got a place in mt fuji too.
  5. cool pics , are those pine tress at the back? haha
  6. ok i think its your lan card thats screwin up. your lan or the canopy itself. be sure to have a word with the tech support. this is by far the first time i encountered that glitch.
  7. this is how we get our internet through this motorola canopy module, we are not on a direct cable line but on a wireless feature from a tower site of our providers thus motorola canopy is what we mean by "canopy".
  8. check your lan port at the back where the cable is attached if it blinks. there were cases like they inserted it on the other port. which gave them 7mb aggregate connectivity status. NIC is your Network Adapter.
  9. dude it doesn't matter if you have 100mb, 1000mb bigger status and if you only get 10mb aggregate line as of now then it must be the NIC screwin up, but 10mbps does affect the speed. and its odd we havent taken anything bout changing the NIC value for what i remembered last time we tried to improve the line. ipconfig /release and /renew was to refresh your line and not in any way modify whats the default setting.
  10. oh my when did that happened? just yesterday i had the same thing happend to me, i only get 18 kb, remember the strong winds and the rain? they must have reinforced their site for some reason why i got lame speeds and the thing is im am too screwed up. sorry bout that thingy, ive been with that process and my canopy never gave such a slight ill behavior, we'll try to remedy that, it was like days ago when we last got in touch tho. give it a day to observe, we all actually are in suffering, like jun, grifter the other day and now me. use dns server temporarily, open dns would suffice for now. 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220
  11. have you tried tweaking it first? theres no harm in trying to see if its them the smart site thats messing and not at your end.
  12. it doesn't re - lease it self and pretty much i know that its at their end not mine. but the crap i have to go through makes it annoying till now!
  13. err it was reported avast tends to update silently after a failed update which eats up bandwidth, make sure though its properly updated and restarted as soon as it asks for a re boot. all appz have flaws. bump. my leased ip leased time is still 7 days and my speed goes wacko. cant see whats wrong with it, running 18kbps atm.
  14. ok i thought it was like from zamboanga city, just this morning my speed dropped to 19 kbps. haha too bad. say if its was like 3 days already then you might wanna call tech support and tell them your predicaments. tweaks wont work on a down base station.
  15. im having problems as of the moment, my leased time under ipconfig gives me just 7 days lease compared to before which is 37 years. anybody got this error before? my speeds are way low 19kbps, haha i hope it ain't site maintenance why this happened.
  16. nobody's good enough above everyone, like other peeps i am still running posted tweaks by others. like the post before me and after, from a noob i was before and a s a member who just wants to help.
  17. ask if his willing to share some points, it would be nice for him to join us.
  18. thats like boom! how consistent was his speed? did he tried to redo the test?
  19. it depends in the base station if they set it to more than 500 kbps allowable limit, i tried experimenting it by changing base stations aka color code and i was surprised to have 700 mark but with crappy jitter. now im achieving 451-452 max at a stable color code. it doesn't matter to me if i reach 500+ as long as its stable and the line doesn't choke out itself.
  20. it worked for him that way 448,1024 values in canopy QOS. its far more better than the default which is way low. but its case to case maybe a good reason would be that he's not running it yet at the most of what it should be. he's speeds are great and i cant see more reasons but power saving on the canopy end. setting it above default values is ok, and maxing it is also ok as long as it is withing the range.
  21. theres a good way why its set to 448 and 1024, thing is it doesn't run the canopy under full power which is good in terms of power saving and low stress performance for the canopy. i would like to commend for the outright process posted in brief which will greatly help those who wants to tweak specially those beginners at their first attempts at the canopy. an advice for the newbies: don't touch the other settings in the canopy unless you are sure about it cause no one will be responsible for your actions but yourself. guides are here, read and read and ASK.
  22. that should do for those who have been trying to get cablenut to work right. i might wanna add a bit to that when getting your bandwidth set using j79's online cablenut set use 384kbps X7 it and round it up as your bandwith instead of 384kbps, smart gives burst speed and at best tweak at their x7 supposed maxed caps.
  23. well goodluck, share me your experience on it. haha
  24. imma try win95, wanna see old boys do speed.
