welcome to the TMN Community @ hctiws just be patient. wait for the techs to come. for the meantime. clean your pc from viruses, spywares, adwares, trojans, junk & unwanted registry files. reformatting is the last option if its still slow; back-up important files before doing it though. btw, if you are interested you may dropby my blog, i got some nice stuff there for you to explore. click here http://coolbusteratyourservice.blogspot.com/

The TMN Community is growing. Not just SmartBro Subscribers from PI are visiting the website. TMN is starting to pick up from PLDT My DSL subscribers. Im on SmartBro now but I would like to encourage PLDT MyDsl Subscribers to post their scores here including testimonials be it positive or negative. Let me start. This speed test was taken when I rented a PC in the internet shop and tweaked it with TCP Optimizer.

@ mapuamj. no not yet using it. where's your source of that idea? did it improve your speed? -
oh. is the lock in period 24 months? all the while i thought its just 12. for me. i will observe first if its better. imagine that the HSDPA average speed is 1.4MB/s up to max of 1.8MB/s. that's 4 to 6 times faster than smart bro!

after the storm a rainbow appeared. nice speed. did you tweak it?

need to organize queries so both ends meet. -
i got it! i guess i have to answer my own questions. here's the info i got from http://mobilityph.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html Globe Visibility - High Speed Mobile Internet Who would think that you are in a third world country. Last October I decided to avail of Globe Telecoms HSDPA Visibility Service. Globe Visibility provides you with the ability to access the internet wirelessly from your notebook or mobile phone. HSDPA means High Speed Data Packet Access. I will not pretend to know what that actually means. But simply it means very fast mobile internet access. For a fee of Php2,000 and a monthly service fee of Php2,000 a month, with a twenty-four month lock in period Globe Telecom promises you a mobile 1.4 Mbps connection. The package includes a standard GSM sim card and a PCMCIA Data Card or a USB Modem. Presently, they are only offering the USB Modem as many new laptops no longer have PCMCIA slots. The package also is bundled with unlimited internet access via dial-up and unlimited wifi access via Globequest's WIZ. While I never have hit 1.4 Mbps, I actually have been able to achieve speeds of 1.334 Mbps. Close enough for me. While I was warned of limited coverage when I availed of the plan, Globe Telecom's service representative were terribly conservative. I was told to expect limited coverage. But from the get go I had no trouble finding a HSDPA signal from most every where I go on a regular basis. I have no problems getting a good connection from my residence in New Manila and Rockwell Center, Macapagal Boulevard and The Fort which are my places of choice for a relaxing weekend. I have also had no problems getting a HSDPA signal from the Justice Hall's (i.e. where the courts are located) in Quezon City, Pasig City, Makati City, Caloocan City and Malabon City where I do most of my work. The sim supplied with the Globe Visibility package was initially a data only sim. Globe Telecom decided in November 2006 to allow you to use the sim to make voice calls and to send SMS. The rates per minutes and per text are pretty high though. Anyway, that is for another post. While Php2,000 a month is not cheap, after having been on this service for four months I am very happy to say that I am a very satisfied costumer. I spend a fair amount of my work time in the field, and this service has made my "mobile office" truly mobile.
