My Smart Bro (Wi-fi) internet connection speed

Awesome! -
i think what is recognized by smartbro is the IP Address of your Macintosh lancard that's why you cannot connect to smart bro on your PC. based on my own experience: there was a time i installed a new lancard to a friend's pc coz the old one was damaged, we were able to connect to the internet, by automatically obtaining IP address and dns, but was redirected to the smart portal instead of in the default webpage. try to contact customer service @ *1888 on your smart fone if what you want is possible.

have you tried system restore to a point where you have not clicked the TCP Opt yet?
-
no. i knew there's only 2 nearest smart cellsites so we beamed the canopy to the nearest. i also sticked to my "default" AP which has 970+ RSSI and Jitter ranging from 3-1.

ok then, good for you. try to do some more tweaking.. here: 1) open network connections 2) right click your current local area connection 3) go to properties/internet protocol/properties 4) use the following dns server addresses preferred: 208.67.222.222 alternate: 208.67.220.220 5) click ok, then reboot. 6) speed test, then post your score here. -
we're doing fine, alive & tweaking seems you have a bright morning today? is it because you obtained better speed or coz of something else?

My Smart Bro (Wi-fi) internet connection speed
coolbuster2007 replied to overboost's topic in Smart Bro (Wi-fi)
at this time of the day that speed is normal. but it can go higher during the evening until early morning. btw, what was your speed before you used cablenut? -
1) post your ISP & the advertised speed. 2) clean your computer from unwanted programs and junk files.

good warning. that's why i "physically touch" NOT my canopy, i just re-configure some settings along with my OS registry.
-
that's right. now i have uninstalled Nod32 and cleaned my registry. i'm going back to AVG Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware w/c use 20+mb each on resources. i also discovered a method to tweak speed and make it more stable without relying much on CableNut; will post later regarding this.

this is kinda like forum shopping lols. anyways, here's my reply: yes, but risky. its the canopy default/override plug. i will refer you to this forum topic: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=18617.msg231294;topicseen#new

ok. you have better speed in the wee hours of the morning. but that's not satisfactory. you don't have to wait after midnight just to download fastly right? now try to uninstall your NAV2007 (w/c is very effective against viruses & trojans but usually chokes internet speed, maybe because of its strict IE monitoring system), replace it with AVG or Nod32. Do a speed test here. Observe what will happen. Post the result. i have 970+ RSSI and Jitter ranges from 1-3. -
sort of...

i think Nod32 is low on memory usage, but hmmm, it kinda slows down my internet speed at about a 100+ Kbps. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@LauY that's really slow. email customer service about your problem, attach your speed screenshot. also, kindly give us some info on your operating system, anti-virus/anti-spyware being used, firewall; also your location and distance from smart cellsite, etc., coz from those maybe we can find the culprit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- my latest: -

@ elijahpaul can you possibly fabricate default plugs for us for a price? its really hard to find an RJ 11 6-pin socket. maybe we can make an arrangement on the payment scheme.

@ LauY gourame is right. maybe the problem is your base station or they may be doing some maintenance operation. try to speed test again during the evening and early morning. we will see before you tweak some more, ok? relax man. its not the end of the world yet. -
nope. i had around 256 to 300 kbps. but i made sure to create my own admin account before the technician closed the canopy config window. that is why i was able to tweak my canopy. then i did the cablenut tweaking and the rest is history

As for me, there is an issue with nod32 but on a level that's minimal. also, a friend of mine who owns a cafe is studying if K9 web protection chokes his smartbro speed. On with the observation process...

i believe jun101ph used the default/override plug before
