If anythign the router should boost your speed. Because routers are a relay, it keeps boosting the connection. Im using the linksys wireless b router right now (wired, of course) and get about 3.3 mb/s. When i connect directly to the modem i get about 2.9. Their realy isnt anythign worth tweaking in the router settings, unless you can find the maxMTU option, in which case you should set it to `1500. Thats about it

Anyway with all fun aside, that website made by hillbillies isnt even a stand alone operaton. They are just resellers for Bellwave Communications. ( http://www.belwave.com ) So ... basicaly if they wanted to they could take all their customers money and "ride out into the sunset" and nothing would be done ... but on the other hand since they are a part of a bigger, more professional looking provider (who is owned by AT&T apparently) they could be ....reliable... So its your choice, but IMO id stay right where you are with your DW bastards. Switching would be like going from a car missing a wheel to another with a broken axle. It just doesnt make any sense.

I played it when it was first released ( like some drewling fanboy ) and got an inferior 9 fps. After running around de_dust (which is the best map ever ; FPS wise that is ) the frames would slowly gain , but not by much... Then when battles started , oh hell. The frames dropped to 1 -> 3 and the comp would shut down lol. Needless to say, i think ill stick with my reg. cs .

That im realy not too sure of either.. I know i used to have a client for DC++ that would allow me to say i was sharing an entire file list of music weighing in at about oh... 456 gb? Or whatever number i so felt lol.. and it would actualy display a list of music ( huge...friggin list ) but when you tried to downlaod one of the listed songs, it just says " file not avaliable" But to the bots that check the hubs, it passes their standards. As well as an option to just make your share size say anythign you want it to, from 0 bytes to 999 TB, but if you get caught you get banned from hubs . - So im guessing the file inflation is based on the same principles.

IE caches alot of random pictures (.gif , .jpg, etc) and stores them ( see ti by doign start > run > %temp% on XP ) to "optimize" the websurfing. So that everytime you type in the webpage, it doesnt need to load all of the images again, because half of them are already saved and just needs to be re-displayed

You wont be able to get any inet from it. Because of the WAP (wireless access protection) youd need a password to use it. i once was getting a constant 880 kb/s on kazaa, downloading an episode. Its not uncommon.. I get thoes type of speeds all the time on kazaa Trick is to look at the bandwith amoutn avaliable on the side
