  1. Personally i turned off QOS on my router and it almost doubled my Wi-Fi speeds. As far as overall internet bandwidth, any satellite connection will unfortunately struggle which im sure you are aware.
  2. Going through some old posts & stumbled upon this one.. Would be interesting to see everyone's build! 😊 Post 'em up! After 5 years I've decided not to purchase a new pc, but rather upgrade my current rig. with the outrageous prices of Pc's today, I found it easier to replace some components than spend gobs of $$$ on a new Pc. Granted, to todays specs.. this rig is (still) outdated. Its not Gen 4 PCIe, it's not DDR5 memory etc.... but for what I use it for now a days....🤷‍♂️ lol im approaching my 40's is what im saying... 🤣 - Although lightyears behind current parts & speeds, I do have to say, she runs @ or well above 100 FPS on all current games (Fortnite, modern warfare, black ops, forza, beamNG, etc.) , w/ Max/Ultra/Extreme settings! Pretty happy about that. I failed at getting any decent pics or videos of the rig primarily due to the plexiglass front.. its quite difficult to get anything on camera. In person, she is beautiful though IMHO. 3. Could you tell u what you have found there that you could not find here???
  4. Same. Mine does the same erratic pausing thing as well. Keep in mind, you cant compare testmy's speed test algorithm with speedtest.net's. testmy shows your real, actual, IRL speeds.. Speedtest.net (ookla) shows your ideal results with overhead via many connections. Ca3le could explain it better if you haven't already read the "TMN vs STN" difference thread.
  5. 😄 I see you've gotten that result once, more than likely an anomaly; I'm satisficed with my result average lol. Plus, im running everything wireless now 🤷‍♂️
  6. Have you tried a different browser? Also, Make sure any QoS is disabled in your router
  7. Do you want to upgrade to windows 11, but like me your pc "doesn't qualify" because of various reasons? We have a fix. My pc missed qualification by a few generations of CPU. Everything else passed. Luckly i found this video! Hope it helps, and remember, as with any OS install, do @ your own risk. SIDE NOTE! Use a USB drive to do the windows update; Mine failed mid install trying via SSD & almost bricked my system. Luckly, windows recovered. Total Time: Varies ( 30 min for me) Difficulty: Moderate Risk level: Moderate; depends on your PC/OS knowledge; Watch the video, & if it makes sense to you, I'd strongly recommend. Link:
  8. Some quick Wi-Fi downloads. 💨🚀
  9. oof... 😪 everyone's kickin' the bucket.. RIP tommy G.
  10. - You should brush up on your there/their... 💀 - tomatoe/tomoto 2ndly; The point was, Ziply Fiber still uses Frontiers backbone. Regardless of ownership/billing finally; My setup is simple. ONT to their (frontier) router via CAT8. From the frontier router to the Asus, again via CAT8. Only reason we (had) to use Frontiers router was for the TV svc. (coax) We also killed the TV and home phone. We stream via Roku & Gaming systems. Roughly 8-11ms.
  11. Their* Well, "ziply fiber" is owned/backbone by Frontier Communications (🤮) & yes, unfortunately I have to use their (Arris NVG468MQ) router due to also having their TV svc, which requires a router with coax connection.. But to be fair, Frontiers routers ONLY job is to provide an IP address for my Asus RT-AX82U (& coax for tv). From there everything WiFi or hardwired goes through the Asus.
  12. I'll take accelerator for $400 bob. 😄 https://testmy.net/hoststats/ziply_fiber

    hello

    hi
  14. I have the same run for the work & gaming PC lol. Keep in mind, anything over cat6 for standard home connections will have little to no impact on the performance... i just did it cause i get a real good deal on networking equip .

    suh

Welcome! Could be worse, could be using Frontier
  16. I've got the Samsung s21 ultra; work where im in the "5GUC" PS: oh, and ookla showed over 500.
  17. Cat5e is more than sufficient for most every day home installs. it's also very affordable & easily accessible. Personally, anything I have hard-wired I use cat8; It's completely unnecessary but most of my networking & pc's are relatively close proximity so I decided to waste the money on overkill cable. https://www.lanshack.com/Cat-8-Shielded-40G-23AWG-2000MHZ-SFTP-Shielded-PVC-Solid-Conductor-Ethernet-Cable-300-Ft-Blue-P9067?gclid=CjwKCAjwyryUBhBSEiwAGN5OCOnE2gA5sAPvA94nDXlNyjQTqO-o2KhxqmvGMKSxF85dHEnJNMBPvRoC6HwQAvD_BwE
  18. <----------- Needs larger test size anyway!
  19. Yeah Yeah Yeah.. 😂 Heard that. 👍
  20. 1: I actually lol'd on this. XD This was the general consensus of many....MANY people and Verizon pretty much said F.U. to all its unhappy customers; @ one point even trying to disgustingly blame Samsung for " Not implementing multi-bands of 5G from the factory". The thing that really put the nail in the coffin for me was i just bought a Samsung Note 8 not even a year prior, ($899) and just brought it in for an issue i was having with media loading... than they were like " We've got a deal for you!!" 🙄 2: NGL, never imagined you having anything less than the newest of new mobile tech.... Glad to see you can still surprise us after all these moons, D
  21. I was with Verizon for over 17 years. I left because they got me with the whole bait & switch false advertising of the Samsung Note 10+ 5G. Sold me the phone for $1299 , waited MONTHS than they say "oh yea, this phone will never see 5G; Verizon switched to 5G UWB & these phones will never support such." After calling customer service, pissed, they were willing to "credit $100" for the trouble on a phone that costed well over a grand at that time which promised 5G that was never there. I canceled my subscription that day and switched to T-Mobile 5G; A little spotty in some areas but overall acceptable.
  22. Not gunna lie; Damn near had a stroke trying to read that. ?
  23. +_+ lol testmy still hates my upload. download isn't too far off from believable. in the AM and occasionally in the laaateee PM I see close to gigabit speeds. I'd never use a competitor speed test but I needed to test upload as well ( <.<) so I used TMN 2.0 .. for this one..
