tolut if you go there and everytime you have a differnet IP address then you don't have a static ip. it is possable for it not to be public but then its just a local ip like 192.168.1.100. you can get around it with a service like http://dyndns.org

champyG have you tried running speed tests at a few differnet places? and if you did do you get the same results.

Lyricskmom welcome to the forum. that is not your actual download speed. Its cached. AOL does local caching of everything to make the intenet faster to see your real speed you need do a download test not using the aol browser.

ADSL is limited to 10mbps Download and 1mbps Upload

yes if you have done that many tweaks and are unable to get it any faster, the it would be that you are too far from the CO to get any faster.

tony evans welcome to the forum. if your doing like a 1 on 1 video conversation 35kb/s upload would be plenty. the thing that would hurt you is the latency and packet Loss. what are your ping times to the US like?

if your advertised upload is 384 then your good.

Its the Fastest ADSL connection ive seen. Ive seen ADSL2+ at 30mbps I know ADSL can go up to 10mbps but ive never seen anyone get that close.

if i have some time im going to give it a try i have open suse installed on one of my machines. It just sucks because its hard to get working.

120mm fans are alot quieter then 80mm fans because they are bigger so they spin slower, and move the same, if not more air. they are deferentially alot quieter then most other fans.

I wouldn't mind them calling so much if they would call at a decent time, the other day we were eating dinner its almost 8pm and they call, thats what pisses me off.
