thats another good way to go, the only problem with tho is sometimes they wont fit on the back of the computer because the body is rather big and it can hit the case before going all the way in.

who is the ISP and what is the advertised speed?

1.1mbps is around where everyone gets on 1.5mbps service. 3.0mbps is a little different because it actually synks higher then 3mbps. The modem will sink up at about 3.5mbps max synk so if everything else is good you end up getting right around the 3mbps they advertise. 6.0mbps when everything is good most people actually get higher then 6mbps, I average around 6.4mbps on my bellsouth connection because my modem synks at 8.1mbps

These people have made a few videos. and what they were talking about will never happen. They made one saying the internet will work like your cable, or sat. where you get access to a limited # of websites, if you want more you pay more. Its total BS, and this video is total BS. Website operators will just say fuck you to ISP's that do that. And they will block all traffic to and from that ISP. Its all big ISP's that will say anything to get some press. In the real world it will never work. Comcast tried this with bittorrent and it didn't last very long. If a major ISP started throttling website, they would loose a ton of there subscribers. They are trying to double dip. They say "wait your getting a free ride on our connections" to webmasters, but thats not true, web masters actually pay for bandwidth. even when most ISP's don't even pay for bandwidth.

Ill tell you right now thats a very bad idea, it will cause very poor cooling. It will be very inefficient, loud, and will create pockets of hot air that don't move. You always match the fans. if you ever look at a good designed high end case from Falcon NW, alienware, Mac Pro case, Voodoo etc. They are always matched. If you have 2 120mm fans in the front you want 2 in the back. That way you create a very even flow of air in the case that cools everything. When you mix fan sizes up, and don't use a even amount of them, then you have some sucking more air out of the case, and others blowing less air in then what's coming in. Stick with 120mm fans. If you do it right you can get away with just 2 fans. Then you can get a super quite box.

Anti - virus programs are not 100% full proof. let alone 50%. A good amount will not stop viruses. And all of them will hardly ever remove the virus fully because it has no clue how many times the virus has copied it self, and what else it has done. And there is much better antivirus software out there, some of them are free, After you get back up and running I would start using AVG over trend micro.

You can always give that a try. I have had very mixed results with the virus scanner on it. But it sounds like the virus you did get has gotten it self around quite a bit.

Well I hate to be the one too tell you this, but your going to have to format and reinstall. Copy anything important off to the USB key, format your computer, install a anti virus software then scanned the USB key completely.
