Lies. 11.04 was not an LTS release. 10.04 was though. Thanks, EBrown

Well, apparently I was wrong. The partition isn't physically damaged, but the install disk would not read it properly. I might have found a program that will recover my data. (REALLY hoping for it.) Thanks, EBrown
-
Edit: Apparently the drive is corrupt, because the Windows Install Disk will not format it, but only one partition. The other partition is perfectly fine. Thanks, EBrown

My Hard Drive has been corrupted, and I need a program to recover data from it. (Windows thinks it is a fresh drive.) Can anyone post/link me to one. (Preferably free.) I would like to get the data that WAS on it. Thanks, EBrown

But the black terminal window is the best. Thanks, EBrown

Unix. Good ol' Fedora Core. That or Ubuntu. I trust both of those over OS X or Windows any day. Thanks, EBrown

Almost as bad as my Antenna Based connection. Thanks, EBrown

Sarcastic comment followed by idea: Are our Counters in the mail or do we have to pick them up? You could also add something similar to: "x% of your visitors score lower than you, and x% score higher." Just another dumb idea. Thanks, EBrown

You could possibly add where it tells you of the # of visitors, how many were the same ISP as you, etc. "Of the x visitors, y shared your ISP!" Thanks, EBrown

True that. I am 16 and have, what, 3 friends in the real world. I use Facebook more as a contact list. If I actually care about the person, I put their number in my Rolodex. (Yeah, old school.) As for the people from high school who used to "kick your ass," I am with you. I have a half dozen pending friend requests from people like that. "Once an asshole, always an asshole." I only use my Tweeter for a specific application I am developing. Apart from that I don't use it at all. And yet, my "Generation" is supposed to be the "Technology" generation. In all reality, I still bond with my dad through various work projects we do. I would rather spend a week at summer camp than sit on my ass on a computer for hours on end. I wish the rest of this generation were the same way. But, alas, you can't always get what you want. Thanks, EBrown

It's for Politicians to express their opinions mostly. (As I recall, a while back CA3LE made a joke about their attention span, being only 140 characters.) Still holds true. Thanks, EBrown

I worked all day. (So did my parents.) Thanks, EBrown

You can look at this place. http://www.copytrans.net/copytransmanager.php They seem to have a decent looking product. I don't know if it is better or worse than your current one. I stick to iTunes, since I have no need to switch. Thanks, EBrown

My dad did the same thing. Fixed a lawn mower, fixed our neighbors boat, paid for the house, got charcoal and whatnot from wally's, grilled burgers and hot dogs. I cleaned a house for him, and he didn't even use it. Thanks, EBrown

I gotta stumble across them. It's no fun if I go looking for them. Thanks, EBrown

I guess the yellow is the only good one there. The others look, strange. To say the least. Thanks, EBrown

Yeah, the yellow throws me off a little bit. Thanks, EBrown

Damn nice find Alucard! Thanks, EBrown
-
Yeah, it has two breaks in it, so it must be the MSA one. I also found two old PCI NIC's here, with a RJ-45 and a BNC connector. (Each card has both connectors.) I'll be sure to let you know what I get for them on EBay. (Always useful having that information to gauge anything else.) Thanks, EBrown
-
They're not ISA, I know that much. MSA they might be. It's just a history thing, I was wondering if anyone knew anything. I really have no plan to use them, most likely stick them on EBay... Thanks, EBrown
-
Hmmm, I might have to look further into that. I really would like to know what slot they are, but I cannot determine that. Thanks, EBrown
-
So I found some of these legacy NIC cards, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are. According to the sticker on one of them, it was manufactured by RACORE Computer Products, INC. I have 11 of them, 5 Small ones (A8118 Rev. C) and 6 Large ones (A8118 Rev. D/E). If anyone could point me to more information on ANY of them, that would be great. I would love to know where I could possibly get a couple computers to run them, and a few fiber cables for them. (They are Fiber NIC's btw, my guess is FDDI or Token Ring.) Edit: After a quick search I have found that the MAC Addresses all belong to AMD. Thanks, EBrown
