I know they started deploying fiber to the pittsburgh area.... im about 60 miles south, southeast the burg.... but i dont know if they are in the city itself.... im guessing rural subburbs.

my 4 meg adelphia connection is a steal on 29.95 a month.... i save about 800 a year when i switched....

My bad, i didnt think that you meant you were taling the triple play package (tv, phone, data) when its available. I thought you meant Verizon FiOS and Vonage or sun Rocket.

Yes It actually has nothing to do with your internet provider or service(cable dsl, FiOS, etc...), it is all limited by your VoIP provider.

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 20.19 % of your hosts average (rogers.com) isp is rogers.... i think he may be on one fhe the Lite Plans.. Ultra Lite: 128/64Kbps Lite: 256/64Kbps reading your post roger, you wont get any higher unless you upgrade to a high package...

nah i think the flash ads a very nice touch to it..... rayoflight of an amazing site, but sadly its no longer around... www.mtechnik.net is also a nice flash site, click the link for the 'Studio' maybe can give you a few ideas

cheers on the amazing speeds, wow i dont like having a 4 meg connection when i see these kinda speeds.

i try and look for both, my pings are decent, ping to google i get around 40ms, could be better but it causes no real hassle playing online games with my friends and being able to download at 500+ kb/s is a plus

whats your advertised speed? could it be because you only have one of the Lite packages? both of those packages uploads are capped @ 64kbps....

my one friend has a wireless 256k connection, he says its completely reliable and has great pings and he plays WoW and Guild Wars with no problems, but downloading stuff is a hassle, so speed isnt everything....

yea, i doubt it could work, correct me if im wronmg but vonage is one of the hoggier VoIP providers, needing about 80-90 kb/s i think? I dunno, but i know for a fact Dway doesnt hit those.

you def. need to upgrade to a higher package, because 256/64 is rather slow for cable, but for some people, thats all they need....

they only have signed up 1 customer so far.... it was posted on DSLR a week or 2 ago.... by september i believe is when they hope to go nationwide(lower 48)

no wonder VDSL never took off faster, lol @ the 30M

they probably wont for a while since they just did, but adelphia is releasing the new tiers soon and if you have adelphia and are going to comcast like i am, then consider it an 'upgrade' of sorts.
