Swimmer Posted January 9, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 9, 2006 haha yeah a little wierd but it looked like it worked pretty well.. I wonder what it smelled like.. They should have used a Prescott.. then tried to overclock it.. that would have been a sweet story..
resopalrabotnick Posted January 9, 2006 CID Share Posted January 9, 2006 liquid cooling isn't that complicated. you just have to keep in mind a few things. the medium you use shouldn't be corrosive, shouldn't be a good conductor and that bnngs up problem number 3. if it isn't a conductor (which it needs to be so you don't short out the whole damned box) then you have to be sure that it can't get into tight spaces like the space between a cards plug and the slot or it will break contact between the card and the board. also some harddrives have openings with filters to allow over/underpressure to equalize. netmasta Posted January 9, 2006 CID Share Posted January 9, 2006 Now that is interesting. Must be hard to clean if you need to upgrade it sometime in the future though.

resopalrabotnick Posted January 9, 2006 CID Share Posted January 9, 2006 veggie oil is flammable. oil gets low, cpu gets hot, and it's tower inferno time.
php Posted January 9, 2006 CID Share Posted January 9, 2006 veggie oil is flammable. oil gets low, cpu gets hot, and it's tower inferno time. that cpu would have to get extremely hot... I suspect the computer would shut down before then...
