Yeah, that is why I only put 2 Gigs in mine right when I bought it, I figured it would be all I would need for at least 4 years, and if I changed my mind later at least I could go up to 4. As near as I can tell any high-end motherboard is gonna support atleast that much. I would love to see a desktop with that much ram. I bet it wouldn't even run, lol. I had a ram manager or something like that, I never fell below 1350 usable ram out of 2000. It did not hurt anything. Just useless.
