Mangtom Posted August 6, 2007 CID Share Posted August 6, 2007 No tweaks and I'm getting the same on both of my Smart Bro accounts - maybe tech services forgot to reset something during base station fix. Tom, Pampanga 2009
fr0stbound Posted August 6, 2007 CID Share Posted August 6, 2007 @Mangtom aren't you the one that uses 2 combined smartbro connections in one pc using a router? is it that good? too bad that 2 accounts is kind of steep for a student like me. Mangtom Posted August 7, 2007 CID Share Posted August 7, 2007 I am indeed. However this extremely quick speed test was from only one connection though both were giving similar throughput last week. Sadly one has now dropped back to a rather more mundane 412kbps As I wrote I believe the techs left a speed setting in a maintenance mode by mistake. The dual wan router (2 combined connections) is working very well. The only headache comes when I contact Smartbro CS to report problems with the connections as they can't seem to get their heads around two connections in one residential address. I spotted a quad WAN router for sale and I'm tempted to get another couple of connections. :cheesy:

Mangtom Posted August 7, 2007 CID Share Posted August 7, 2007 I don't actually need the speed, but after living in Hong Kong and where I had a 6Mbps home connection (P2.200 a month) I got used to that speed (even then I wasn't content )
