so it increased. a bit :P lol

well anyway, my color code has the highest RSSI among my available AP's.

i don't get it; i should change my uplink/downlink allocation speed to what again? :)

Alright, so listen well. Change both of the Uplink and Downlink values to 500.

Actually you can set the values to any number you like as long as their total would be 1000

(eg: you can have your downlink: 600 and uplink: 400, or you can have downlink: 700 and uplink: 300).

However, The recommended value for both uplink and downlink rates is both at 500.

So I suggest you have the recommended value as well. Click the Save Changes button.

sustained uplink and sustained dowlink to 448, download burst and upload burst to 1024. if your speed goes down, just revert back.

i see that your a "talented deviant". does that refer to deviantart? if so,can i see your gallery?

haha :P nope. my gallery is @ http://ravehelluvahgurl.multiply.com if u call that a gallery of my graphic works and photography things;)

my guess is it's either you have a new model of the canopy or its running a different firmware.

there's why you can't change your settings, looks like you have lower maximum amount.    you only have 512, whereas the others have 1000.

same for download and upload burst.

btw, is that really vista or just a theme? and also, you have too many programs running in the background, which contributes to slower speed.

@babygurl5

try this link --> http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257

i was tweaking around 6pm today 08/09 and got only about -380Kbps dl speed. then i ran across the link above and boosted my speed to 435Kbps max! first

time that i reached 400 club in my 2 months subscription! the significant tweak

i did was the error check. check out my database below as proof:

http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/db_search.php?type=user&q=ripclawph

try it to see if it will improve your speed.. btw, im using AVG for anti-virus.

for additional faster browsing... use fasterfox add-ons..

my current speed...

@babygurl

your currently running an old firmware and your base station is not yet

upgraded. I already ask about this from a tech who serviced my canopy.

you need to contact customer service and tell them you need an upgrade.

you can also ask the tech to change your canopy with a maximum throughput

of 7Mbps to get the same setup as tamie77's pic.

waah...my canopy is different..here's the image..

how come it's different? :(
