mudmanc4 Posted June 9, 2007 CID Share Posted June 9, 2007 A friend of mine had the same thing happen, only they shut him down until he called. They sent out a tech to confirm his wireless network was vulnerable , therefore it could have been anyone in his direct vicinity. ........................ xs1 Posted June 10, 2007 CID Share Posted June 10, 2007 ah yes , thats why you gotta love dc++ ( direct connect) . =] Its just direct p2p file sharing, in large hubs. No trackers, no names of items, no way to track " copywrite" shit. Its person to person , but not mass distribution. Its just person to person , but with alot of persons in a large " chat room "
ninjageek Posted June 10, 2007 CID Share Posted June 10, 2007 Will say not to many people from america torrent much of anything. They may bring it down but putting it up is a bad idea if you reside in america. I would be willing to bet they would so love to get ahold of axxo. That person is da person with torrents. He so loves to share. Thats What I hear anyway.

Demonseed Posted January 20, 2008 CID Share Posted January 20, 2008 Heh thanks.I'll enjoy my stay.Yeah i slowed down on seeding myself.I do know and heard that downloading a torrent isn't as bad as the seeding.See what i think and it's also sad is when a website is up that offers millions of torrents. You have full access to the torrents. So if it's so illegal why dont they go after the website masters or something.I just don't get it Lol

Demonseed Posted January 20, 2008 CID Share Posted January 20, 2008 Heh ok that makes more sence then.I've come across alot of people aswell as I who get these letters from their ISP or 'DMCA' only when they download movies,or even seed them.Seems to me the movies are the biggest problem lol
peepnklown Posted January 20, 2008 CID Share Posted January 20, 2008 If you are going to download torrents then you should know how to protect yourself.
NobleScarlet Posted January 20, 2008 CID Share Posted January 20, 2008 I have read of rumors about torrent sites being "asked" by those anti-piracy agencies to track those IP addresses that download or upload torrent files in their site. So, if you are going to download those torrents, make sure you "protect your identity"
