I know thats what you personally think, but could it be because you may be middle class? Maybe the poor think they are the most caring, or the rich because they give the most money to those that don't wanna work? So who says I am middle classed? Actually I have spent most of my life in the lower class in the poverty level. I was a child of 5 siblings who was on the welfare roll. Yep dead beat dad. I thought there was only a select few here that had the realization of just one example of what socialism can to to a country. I'm not endorsing socialism by any means. There are way too many people abusing the social programs we have here in the USofA. But the government IS supposed to help protect those that can't, not those that won't. Take the USA for example the government which is really controlled by the rich now & maybe always.It's just the rich of the American Revolution had higher ideals.Now they keep enough money flowing to the Average to lower income citizen they are not ready to give it all up & revolt.The same reason for welfare it keeps the poor not ready to attack the money supply.Or did you think it was because the politicians most rich themselves & definitely representing the rich really cared? The difference is that the "rich" in the US aren't usually individuals with wealth, its more corporate wealth. The individually wealthy are usually the ones that are more generous. The originators of our welfare system (FDR) did have good intentions, however the system has evolved into more of a political tool that anything else. Clean streets, community service, etc... Why pay good money to others to do the same job, when they are already being paid good money. And if the money then is not good enough, then get a job, go to school, something productive. Or get off of it. Myself the only times I needed assistance since I first left home, was damn willing to do something for the help. Work was just unobtainable. I mean when a legit single parent needs help with their children, give them assistance such as food stamps or housing as long as they have a job. Like a good faith welfare program. Im completely against funding someone who sits on their ass and has a kid every year to collect that extra check. I haven't seen too much evidence of that. He does want to put a lot more money into college financial aid, with the requirement of civil service while in college in exchange. On those lines alone, my belief on this whole thing w/ Obama last week, ( the church thing, not the passport thing lol) is he (Obama ) wants to see this election turn into a race war, tell me it's not possible that they feel if they can get everyone worked up over this, the media will give, and is giving him more broadcast time than anyone else, FOR FREE, and that's what wins election! Candidates spend millions per month on advertising, and he's getting not only the sympathetic vote, ( oooh, the poor black man) every one is pickin on him vote as well. They'll make millions feel so sorry for him that they will politically feel they have no choice but to vote for him to prove they are not racist. Hell, I was asked if I had a race issue because of my political standing, at the same time, I was asked if I had a problem with a female president. My answer honestly was, and still is, I can't see a black man being president, there would be way to many issues, just look at what we have now, and there's just one running, we are being separated for the sake of race. Look at the female candidate, forgetting ( if you can ) who she is, I can't stand to hear a woman stand there and preach to me like I'm a child, or like she knows so much more about life in general. I tell you what though, if condi was running, I'd be the first one to vote her in. For no other reason than she knows how to deal with the leaders of the world, whether you agree w/ what you've been told or not, fact is she's good , real good.
