Marcin541 Posted November 26, 2004 CID Share Posted November 26, 2004 "Poormans dsl" would be 256/128 Your friend has 1.5/128 which wouldnbt be considered as poor mans. Hes actually got a good deal if hes paying $20 for it.
Mr. Hahn Posted November 26, 2004 CID Share Posted November 26, 2004 Pricing for certain speeds primarily depends on the area in which you live. The same speed packages can vary greatly in price from area to area.

NoShow Posted November 26, 2004 CID Share Posted November 26, 2004 I do know in my area that if you sign up on their specials and if you sign up for a year then you're stuck with it for that year weather you like it or not. If you cancel then you'll have to pay the remainder of the year that you signed up for. A friend of mine got into that when he signed up and he hated it. All you need to copy is the text inside the text box for easy viewable speed results. The automatic copy link doesn't seem to work in Firefox. MugenPower44 Posted January 2, 2005 CID Share Posted January 2, 2005 I am very dissapointed with my dsl pro package i pay 49.99 and i get crappy results now. I have the 1.5-3.0mb download/384 upload and I usually averaged about 400Kbps download speed which made me very happy and my speed test where usually 2500-2900Kbps but now i download about 60Kbps and average speed test i averaged only about 500-600Kbps which is about 1000+ off advertised and about 1500 of what i usually get. I did the download speed test just now and got 1mb download in a pathetic 18 sec which i use to do 2 sec or less "all the time"
