  1. netmasta is on the money. You can only log into the modem's diagnostics when he modem is synced up and on line. So basically when all th pretty lights are solid, then one can log in.
  2. I am reviving this one for netmasta... CA3LE, have you seen any of this? We were thinking of some sort of notification when someone is preparing to reply to an old topic. Not anything disruptive, just a little reminder.

    ram????

Yes, NewEgg is a good place. Bought an extra 512 for my PC from there a few months back, got here in 2 days. I think some other members here have found cheaper online stores.
  5. Are you shittin' me!!!!!! That's just not right.
  6. How about a 50/50 choice in the poll. 50 FF / 50 IE? I think that would have been my vote.....but had to choose FF.
  7. :haha: Nice response from the site....time to update?

  9. FYI: Found a couple of fixes for the ActiveX in FireFox, which is why it won't work. Don't have time to try it on my end right now (mine doesn't work either), but maybe you want to check these links out. http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,11435792~mode=flat http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=626789 edit: for bad grammar.
  10. Would that be the same type of pop-up like when we get a personal message notification?
  11. Merging would work, but would require a mods doing. 10-4 on the pop ups, maybe when they reply to an old dead topic, we could just Spam the crap out of them, too. That would make them thing next time.... :haha:
  12. Locking may be a step too far, sometimes relevant info comes around after time. But, maybe a pop up message when one tries to reply after a couple weeks? Maybe we should start our own topic on this since we are definitely off topic here.... Edit: new topic started, thanks.......
  13. I wonder if CA3LE can make the Date highlight in RED or some other attention getter when it is older than say a couple of weeks or so? Example: Re: PHP learning!!!
  14. Some day. But, the cable cos are playing catch up with Fios right now. That should be good news for all the rest of the non fios option customers. I foresee good speed increases in the near future for most of us....
  15. I wish I could be a smart ass at 13.2 Mbps....
  16. Now, that would be convenient......(the rest left out for obvious reasons)
  17. So, all one has to do is remove his penis, attach it to his arm for a while, and it will grow longer? [glow=red,2,300]Where do I sign up?!![/glow]

  19. Your screen-shot earlier showed the MTU field blank. Is that where you entered 1500 and hit apply?
  20. Good eye, pr0duc3r. I'm guessing that means his switch is set at half-duplex? Will that make a difference when conducting a downstream speed test? emjrc, if your still connected to your router, make sure your NIC is set to 100mbps/Full Duplex. ( that is assuming that your router has a 10/100 switch built in) I have 2 routers, neither gives me the option to adjust that within the router.(unless I missed it somewhere)
  21. I don't know for sure, not a pro at this. Do you have CableNut installed?
  22. Looks better to me. Did you try applying VanBuren's tweaks from earlier in the post?
  23. Newegg.com is a good place to start.. I have been thinking of getting one of these cheap Dell systems just for another PC. They start at like 300 Bucks: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/desktops?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
  24. The Motorola 5100/5120 modem is a good choice. From what I understand, is the the 5100 is the retail model, and the 5120 was the model that was sold directly to the isp and they will either lease it or re-sell it. So I believe they are actually one in the same.
  25. Someday: What type of service do you have again? (cable, fiber, etc..)
