yeah those speeds are good for wat they advertise

dude dont bother with sattleite....from wat i have seen and heard SAT is very unstable with horrible pings(worst than dail up and the speed jump is not that great) from wat i have now

that is a good deal for a dual core laptop

lol i was using a s3 prosavage before i bought my 6600gt and u cant really run ne games with this thing, the only thing i could run is hl1 with all low settings on the s3 prosavage.

the computer u have now is fine. The only thing i recommend is upgrading that 9250 to maybe a 6600gt or 6800 is u want to game. that amd 3500 is a great processor, no need to upgrade that for awhile, and u have plenty of mem. I just looked up ur Emachines model and it looks like u have a pci-e slot so u should be able to get the latest gpu cards, like maybe the 7800 but the 6800 is sufficient.

Its a pretty basic process, you could have that amd runnin in top notch condition. Dont underestimate the AMD athlon xp line up. BTW does ur mobo support agp 8x or 4x? im assuming 4x
