I agree I don't think he has a tweaking issue that can be resolved, it looks like his ISP has caused a major malfunction, I don't even think I have seen scum-ware slow anyone down this much. I'm interested 2c if VanBuren tweak helps at all, but with all the re-transmits I don't think so.....but we will see Microwave

evildevil, Cool that you stayed with the problem to get it fixed.......I think I would ask for a month or two of free service for the hassle when its resolved, it doesn't hurt to ask....... anyway let us know and show us your improved score when it happens....at least they did admit it is their problem and didn't just fix it and act like nothing was wrong. I have tested many times when .s1 and VanBuren are getting lower speeds, the funny thing is that I haven't been affected by this which makes me stop and think how is it possible that if there is a system wide slowdown or over usage why doesn't it affect my speed? I have posted my speeds as the problem was happening to them...... I'm not agreeing or disagreeing I'm just confused that if the bandwith is minimal at that moment why doesn't it affect me??? I pay for 3000/256 but just got raised 4free to 4000/512 well to me so far it seems to prove 2me that I have some problem in I.E. that I cant find yet....Grrrrrrr I like Fire Fox its just I'm used to using I.E. and I have I. E. tricked out and it does things that F.F. doesn't do 4me.......... Ya gotta remember I'm an old fart that has used I.E. forever I dont like change I know where everything is and ....... I am interested in the difference in speeds of FireFox and I.E. I think F.F. will always be faster but, by how much if this is true. On my machine F.F. is over 100 KB/s faster and that doesnt seem right 2me. Well thats kinda what I thought also but, I guess there were no rulz set up.......I do know that a person doesn't always have access to a work or a school connection, and I'm really interested what connection peeps use at home in their everyday life browsing the net............. but its all good I still get 2c what I want to see just like I mostly use IE because it does everything I want spell check, etc and I have it personalized with a different spinning logo in the upper right hand conner and on and on, but my fire fox speed is over 25% faster than my IE(although until recently they were much closer) I have reloaded IE but I cant raise my speed even though it is my advertised speed. and for the most part I test using IE because its the connection I use the most. Well I noticed it recently when I was getting some patch 4office b4 they would give it 2me they wanted me to validate also.....I;m also wondering if someone had a pirated copy of something could they send it a virus or a code buried in the O.S. to stop working? I'm guessing that this would be against the law but someone with pirated software isnt gonna call the cops....at least I wouldn't think so....I dont know if your aware but there is all kinds of back-door stuff always written into stuff, just like if you reload your O.S. it will want you to reactivate within 30 days, but I have formatted a few times and I never had to activate , which is strange because if you let windows reinstall as a new system it goes on a new partition (I think) but it still wants you to do all the B.S....anyway it is strange, but not really when you are a billionaire you have to protect yourself.....LOL Microwave

When I saw your first post when you were having a problem downloading this I started thinking, which I get accused of doing to much.....LOL, anyway I always try and think what motivates people or in this case M$. Now I'm not one of those conspiracy guys or a gun toteing militant but I do wonder why people do things,..... anyway, it made me think did M$ make and give this software away so they could get a look at peoples computers, ya know maybe look if its a valid copy of Win doze or any number of things....... but maybe I'm just thinking to much again.......but what is the reason then to only test it b4 they sell it?

Thats a good idea I dont blame you.......of course I guess if you really wanted to you could edit the pics and put a black line through the eyes area so no one can recognize them..... but where children are concerned its probably better to err on the side of caution...... so it a decision only you can make........
