Well I guess since I waited so long, at least look a a sat slow poke. The only thing I don't get is it actually D/L'd @ 123kbps. Why does it always show a different speed when done. Just curious. Now catch that dial-up.

Must be that time of year again. Back in caps. At least we hope it is not yelling. -
Leave it to shug to find job security.

Again jelwell I am not sure I get it. Were you looking for answers? Or just putting down your thoughts?
-
So is this a rant and rave? Or was there something you needed?

Almost missed that one. :haha: I doubt they actually ever hand decent consistent speeds. Of course they are capable of it. Hell they could give out those 2000 speeds with the 6000 if they wanted to. I have seen up to 5000+. I am sure they could also do it with the U/L if they wanted to. But they prefer to sell a new set of equipment to us to get it. Damn, just FU#KI#G UPGRADE like the other ISP's damn it. And charge an extra $10. I would be cool with that. They are nothing short of political asswipes after our last nickel. :angry5: The first 2 weeks I had my 6000 I saw up to 2800+ untweaked. Til the server or what ever throttled me down to 700 D/L. So I knowit is actually possible without upgrading equipment and charging outlandish prices for it to boot.

That reminds me, I need to get some more PAM cooking spray. Aids in ice removal.

I believe just-, it is something like "Groove Salad. Professional ... Progressive Electronica, Space music, Soulful Ambience, Atmospheric Soundscapes ... .musical starstreams. ..." http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=groove+salad+music http://www.live365.com/stations/groovesalad -
But you have to admit you can pile much higher with a wider plate. If you are not sure, let me show you how to get at least 7-10 lbs. on a normal plate. And all meat to boot. As far as the tobacco I was hoping you were kidding cholla. Actyually I lost 30 lbs in 30 days on a beer diet once. And felt pretty good about it. :haha: But I do doubt that is a proper diet.

Actually couldn't get much better than that for U/L. Over 200 and consistent. Unlike mine, under 40 and consistent.
-
As far as I can tell that is doing good there dwt1966 on a 100MB file test.
-
Okay, it sounds like they are fixing yours, maybe. But how does this say they are getting their act togather by fixing just one connection??
-
Two more important things! 1) Push away from the table sooner! 2) Use a smaller plate. You can not put as much food on a smaller plate.
-
Man, where did your speeds go? I thought they were much closer to 6.0 than that.
-
They seldom close them, they usually ride off into the sunset to be opened upon suprise at a later date.
-
Probably not you lucky dog. It is raining here, and I am in and out.
-
It sounds well worth the extra $10. I'd go for it.

Believe me, cops usually have better things to do. I put a dead skunk in an old girlfriends car one time, she went to the cop station and proceeded to tell them. Needless she was laughed out of the station. On what grounds were they supposed to arrest me on?? Just lightening up the mood. Don't worry.
-
Yeah you could worry all night, but all you would lose is some needed sleep. So just relax, and take it easy. It will be fine. She wins if you worry, the old battle axe. She was just rattling your chain. Old people are funny that way sometimes. And next time, don't miss.
-
Absolutely they would have already done the deed. By the way a cop had a person stopped for speeding back about 30 years ago,(I know times have changed, but still a little funny) and over the hill pops me. Slightly speeding, and he had left open his door open on the patrol car while writing the ticket. I almost got that door, and he never bothered to come after me. So who knows.
-
At least you got good speeds for a bit. Maybe they will leave it unlocked. Never know.
-
Nice speeds there, wish I could say yes. What is the comparison in price between the 2. Will you really use it, or was that redundant as you are a game player.

70 kb/s down, 10 kb/s up, anyone help?
tommie gorman replied to dapaintballer331's topic in General Discussion
dapaintballer33 if you are looking for a tech answer, I am always out of them. But I believe it changes the registry to speed things up a bit, and quite a bit sometimes. I am actually on a 500/50 setup for $59.95. And I would gladly trade you for you 768/128 for $14.95. Damned skippy. DIrecway sucks, unless you hate dial-up, like me. Let me know when you decide to trade, just PM me. -
So we are presently at 7:1. Not bad considering. And it appreared after reading it that the ratio was par. But the girls were not really holding their own too well. Better luck this time gals. I believe it will turn out about the same. Well shoot, I must be a fella with the still attached extra brain. :haha: Sucka's.

So why not try tweaking it then? No matter what someone else told me I would always try to tweak myself. I need speed. Of course I also know when to stop. If cable nut appears tough to navigate through, try the TCP Optimizer. It requires no CCS files. Just set the dial and let it go. Some folks find it faster anyhow. I know it makes mine faster than cablenut can. And if it does not improve it much, you are not out countless tries to get it just right. I would set the speed dial at 1000 and let it roll. Let me know how it turns out. And what ever you do, do not forget to back up your present settings, so all you have to do is reset it and you are back where you started. In Kansas with Toto. Just kidding.
