FiReStOrM^ that is usually done to stop bickering. I don't know how I would know that. I would never do that myself.

Yeah, missed that part. Many have done that.

Okay Boyz, (and berries) Help a sister out.

Quit moving water, or are you a desperate criminal in that way also? Maybe you don't get along with neighborhood associations like me. That is why I moved to the country. I hate the paint colors they pick out for you to use. And if I want pool rights, I will just dig up a pond for the kids. -
My first question would be do they fluctuate quickly, or during the day at different times. First answer would be you have a real problem. Second answer would be that is normal. Except being that low on the D/L "download goes between 82 and 335 kbps" And that would be agreat U/L "my upload is between 190 and 520 kbps". I think truckinslim was getting those kind of speeds a while back. Something like 500/500! A lot of people would love your U/L on satelite. Also welcome to the forum if I have not yet rjventre

I would not be surprised, my little on board 200 ATI is supposed to handle it. Why not?

What? Did I miss something again?

Lets see, back in highschool you could pick up a 1968 Mustang Fastback 390 GTA for $650 running good (I did). And today they will bring $20,000 easy. Go figure what junk will bring later.(early 70's to present) Would have been a worthwhile investment. So yes there are collectors of junk. And they do get paid for their efforts. (eventually)

If it is just D/L I would suggest cleaning without more info. I believe you are on the 4000, right?
-
You don't pay the shipping. And they will know if it is worth it to them. Who knows, maybe someone will offer a block buy (buy it all at once).

Water, you are very mischevious. A siding crew one time was telling me about this guy asked how to smooth out the calking out once you apply it. They told him to wet to and use his finger. So he started spitting on it and smoothing it out with his finger. Well he ended up getting some in his mouth and asked the others how to get caulk out of his mouth. Well when I heard that one I asked him if this was true? (He was working that day on one of my houses). He responded yes. So I proceeded to tell him to back up off of the caulk. Everybody just busted up. (If you don't get this one water just PM me ) :haha:

FIrst of all I'd bet you are way cuter than any dude. Second of all do not fall for that one. You did already fall for the 6000 I see. "a 15 month contract " is enough for me. And I already get 1800 D/L speeds with a consumer account now off peak. So what, a faster U/L only? You mean a whopping 150kbps. And how much more per month is it? Anyway not for me, even if it was free for the modem and s&h. So many tried it on here, and were not happy with it. (the 7000 modem's) I will be able to try out the 4000 in a few months and I will let you know what I think then.

If your house is properly grounded all you need to do is groung to the same ground as the house. The water line, or the ground rod that is already there. Or just to the breaker box. Any ground will do. I will just expain how mine is grounded. That should help. There is a 4 way splitter attached to the end of my cables which is also a grounding block of sorts. Finally found a pic (below) Run ground from block to ground on one end. And on the other end maybe someone else can chime in as it is dark to be going outside right now. If it is still up in the air tomorrow, I will go out and see if I can see what else it is connected to. For now. Also the cables run from my modem straight up to this directly above my desk in the basement office. -
Is there a way to see who is calling you without caller ID?
tommie gorman replied to a topic in General Help
Well don't that just take all the fun out of it. They should let it happen, it would difinately reduce the likelihood of it happening again if it got out they were getting their butts kicked. Danged law bites. Just trying to save the court some expenses. What harm is there in that. The taxpayers won't mind. Shucks. -
I don't think any cop would allow tinted windshield's. That is just insane. I prefer the rear window glass on a pickup. Don't really care for the front side windows to be tinted. I do like to see what is coming my way.

Any logical explanation why explorer.exe uses
tommie gorman replied to ratchet's topic in General Discussion
ratchet are you using windows "User Profile Hive Cleanup Service"? If so that might be why the reboot worked. It disconnected you completely. -
Hey, it is all in fun. Don't take it so seriously.

Stephy J if you will go to your name on a post in here and click on it it will take you to your profile info. Click on "Forum Profile Information" on the sidebar, in there add your gender. It will stop the "dude" part. We have no way of knowing. As for upgrading I would only if U/L is that important. Actually as soon as my contract is up, I am going to try the 4000 setup which I got off of ebay. It will not cost me except the purchase off of ebay of $25 for both of them. (2). I actually prefer the D/L to U/L anyway. Won't ever purchase the 7000 myself. Too damned much to start over. $500 +install+etc... NOT ME! Not till they go down on ebay anyway. And so why don't you go back to your 4000 Aggr3 ? ?

When retesting you go back and use the smart test which is the reason for your slow speeds partly. Use the 2992 file test, not the smart one. This one "Largest - 2992 kB" not this one "SmarTest- Starts with Small then picks for you!" The smart one fills up your cache, and does not give you a big enough file to test with. Also try installing a "TCPOptimizer" it will help with those speeds. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013 The TCP Optimiizer is the easiest way to go. SpeedGuide.net, Just set the dial to about 600+, run through the routine, and reboot and go.

Not sure if that swelled up thing is real or not cholla. It just looked funny to me. But yeah you could always stuff a 500 in one of those Roco. 500-550 lbs. of stump pulling torque. That would be killer. And front wheel drive to boot.

Now for proper grounding are you any good at electrical? If not have them send out someone else to finish his damned job. In the mean time have you tried restarting your modem? Try unhooking the cable from your modem and touching the end of the cable (to take out the static electricity ) for 10 seconds. Defrag your hard drive and do a disk cleanup also. Then we will go from there. -
Man I would check that map more often, it just takes too long and drag it down too much on satelite.

Welcome to the forum uktech From the UK I assume? Enjoy your stay also. I guess I forgot to mention, we also have two resident trolls. They keep an underview of most things that go on in here. So grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

Welcome to the forum WFR-Fred Hate to say this, but ghostmaster is absolutely right. Nothing will change on speeds. Are you grounded properly? Is your dish mounted solid? Have you got a clear sight south without trees? Don't go through with the install, it is not necessary. Don't do it. You just call and change your mind. Save yourself some $$ and agravation. And the longer contract. -
