One thing I have learned is different systems act different to being treated differently. Like some systems like TCP Optimizer, some like cablenut, and some like different teaks. To just sit there and say no system needs defragged daily is just an assumption. PHP, an administator here who also had hughes for a while also followed the same rule of thumb. So next what all is running in the background when you push CTRL+ALT+Delete in your task manager. Also what all is running in your start up menu? Are you running any programs like IM.
