  1. Good one ROM-DOS. I just don't know whether to laugh or cry. MSN is so easy to remove, it is funny.
  2. I finally got tired of ink, and went laser. No problems since. And haven't had to purchase ink yet either. Makes nice photos, and doesn't take long once it is warmed.
  3. Try it without the router, to see if it might be the problem.
  4. Thanks as always. ROM-DOS :icon_shaking: :icon_shaking: :icon_shaking: :icon_shaking: :icon_shaking:
  5. Norton, spysweeper, big slowdowns? Slowdowns: Start*Run*msconfig*Start up tab*uncheck unnecessary services*restart. If unsure, google.
  6. Maybe a dumb question, but can't puertican's become citizen's. I always wondered about that territory thing. Seems to me that we should have 51 states. I wonder how long you have to be a territory, to be a state?
  7. I did not know if theirs did, Dway*Hughes does guarantee 200 up to 700. At least the tech could not say up to par that way.
  8. Yeah, i went to Home Depot(crowded like it was a Saturday, must not have been the only one with that idea) and bought a weeks worth of supplies. And then over to Walmart for a bunch of paint. And then to top it off, I took the help out to lunch at Denny's where the manager was doing duty as a cook. By the way there was a "Now Hiring Sign" in the window. I guess his 3 imigrants cooks took a vacation. A much longer than expected vacation. :laughing7: Acording to the waitress. And my helper went and got 4 new tires. For some reason it did not hit the 6:00 news. Hmmm. Just my 2 cents.
  9. I read it, I just did not understand it. I thought it meant something to the effect of radio transmissions over the wires or something. I am just too technical in this area. And if it were to come here or something, I actually just wanted to know what was up. I understand it a little better from your simplifying it a little. But it still reads as a doctor's script. Thanks
  10. victord66 if your provider has a speed test, just take several speed test's at the bad time of day. And use this info to complain. You do not have to have a tech out to log test's. Make sure it is always at bad time of day, to proove your point. Their test is also undeniable.
  11. Dark06, why the he*l should my 5 & 6 year old have to learn Spanish, when they live in an American English speaking country. Dark06 why should American's living on the border have to put up with people (that do not belong here legally) trampling through their yard at all hours of the night. Wondering whether or not they will be able to sleep in peace. Or whether someone is going to steal, rape, trash, murder, etc.. their property on passing through. I bet you would feel different if it was your back yard. You live at home and have it fairly easy, so this does not bother you personnaly. All we are saying is that they need to do it legally, and the right way. The American Way. And if they or you do not like it, TOUGH!!
  12. In lamens terms what does that exactly mean? "radio interference"
  13. Have you tried tweaking the connection? If you are virus and spyware free, http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 try a cablenut file! http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013
  14. Ok Unreal596 lets do something. Test again on the 12160 kB test file and run two consective tests. Post both scores. And make sure you clean out your cache before each test. And don't hit the back button to retest. Just hit retest.
  15. Nice speeds ODBXXX. What are your advertised speeds?

  17. Yeah, php, it is at the top. Like most of us, we are programmed to ignore ads when surfing. It is full of it. We see you're using Internet Explorer. Try Firefox, you'll like it better.
  18. You may need to remove cmos battery and let bios reset to defaults. If you remove cmos battery make sure the system is unplugged with no power available. If you can get into Safe Mode, the first thing to do is to check Device Manager (Control Panel / System / Device Manager) for any hardware devices. http://www.windowsgalore.com/windows.95/safemode.htm Hope that helps. Tommie
  19. Good info resopalrabotnick, thanks. A couple of good things. Voip, internet, and T.V. It is hoped it will be possible to have devices such as home entertainment systems and other household appliances will also be placed on this data network and allow services such as viewing streamed media and web browsing from televisions. It is hoped that services such as VOIP will be offered allowing this technology to compete not only with ISPs but also with existing Telco?s. Out in the country where I am, I only share with one neighbor on my transformer.(assuming that is where the modem goes). Further reading states that it is dependant upon the users of the sub-station. I hope they do not go for the wifi setup! So substation, 45Mbps / 50 users,(only if all use) could actually get full 45Mbps at a slow time. WOW. And not everybody D/L's at the same time. Hmm interesting. Not sure about the 200 Mbps of the Opera Goals? And no 45,000 mile jet lag! Look out Dway, you better straighten up!
  20. Van is the man, but personnaly I would be upset if they Guaranteed me a speed and did not come through.
