Okay well, I am getting the GeForce 8600GT, do you think that a 350 will be enouph?
-
Presario SR5030NX...its not a big deal, as i should need anymore then 350 anyway
-
They said anymore then 350 can damage the hardware
-
I just talked to compaq, and they say not to use more then 350W, and it does not void the warrenty.
-
I was also looking at this for something a little cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182006

Quick questions about power supplies...My current power supply is still the stock supply that came with the compaq which is only 250 watt. I am looking for a new video card and most of the ones I see need a minimum 350 watt supply. So my question is, are power supplies pretty interchangeable? Cause I don't want to buy something and have it not fit. Heres what I am looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817153023

Actually, I was thinking it might be better to just buy a pre built computer. I found a nice one here that has everything I want: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Compaq-Presario-Desktop-PC-SR5030NX/sem/rpsm/oid/176322/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do#tabs

To save you the trouble of telling me all the things I am missing

Ok, so my dream computer is finally about to become a reality ( i hope). I am finally going to build my own custom made gaming machine. Is there a guide somewhere that I can look at to make sure I order all the right hardware? I'll post all the hardware I plan to buy in a few days.

Same here, I am guessing because of the server transfer.

So I just got Verizon FiOS installed today (5/2 package) and everything went smooth. Did some speedtests via ethernet and got advertised speeds. However, when using wirelessly my speed on download would drop about 2-3 MB/s and would get less then 1MB/s on upload. So I decided to give cablenut a try and WOW my speeds on download are above advertised a little and upload is almost up to advertised. :::.. Try localnet.com...We used to use them way back and they were good. And right now they are running a special $99 for a whole year.
-
I was reading on Verizon's website and they say they charge 75 bucks to set up additional computers. What could they possibly do that I couldn't do myself?
-
OMG I am so excited because the impossible happened...Verizon finally has a good enough package for my dad to order it!!!!! Were only getting the 5/2 package, but thats hella lot better than my crappy 768/128kbps verizon DSL. They are installing it on Friday the 13th But it should be fine
-
I used to have the same problem. It was do to overheating. Do what Swimmer said and that should clear up the problem.
-
LOL, 400MHz was ultimate
-
Well if someone offered me 2.8 million for my website I sure would sell LOL
-
Why can't they upgrade my cheepo 768/128 DSL instead?
-
LOL :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
