Last I heard the swedish police will still have their servers for another 5 months for investigations. Apparently it was a very hard configuration for them to investigate. a normal database (mysql), a normal webserver (apache/php) and a tracker they said. When the police raided them they set up new servers in all in different locations that the police have yet to find.

Too bad you don't live in sweden, then you could send back hilarious emails like the pirate bay: http://thepiratebay.org/legal

I think he means how much ram is utorrent using. not how much is installed on the comp. To find out how much resources the program is using press Ctrl-alt-del...then under go to the processes tap, and under image name look for utorrent. To the far left it will show you how much is being used.

utorrent should be very light on the resources

you most likely have the 768/128 plan, in which case those speeds are good.

Looks nice, do you know if I will be able to duel boot this with XP if installing on a seperate partition?

Most of the time I will either leave it on or put it in standby, its rare when I do a full shutdown or hibernation.

Not to worry, according to Microsoft, Vista is so secure you WONT need an antivirus program http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/7541;_ylt=AtGJNsrPnZoWGJnXG3MZigEsLpA5

I used Daemon tools also to install, it somehow before the first restart has enough information to continue on with the install.

I also have the Verizon 768/128 plan and those are about the speeds I get as well. You may be able to squeeze a little more speed with tweaks but not much. Ps. Cox cable internet (or any cable internet) is a totally different type of technology, thats why there speeds are so much higher. But for $14.95 or whatever it is for the 768/128 its a great deal, better then what tommie is paying for Direcway or Hughsnet whatever the hell there called now -
So ISP's can really see all the porn sites I've been on?
-
Looks like the next highest package would be 3.0 Mbps for 29.99/mo, but even that wont get anywhere near 100% because of Verizon FIOS.

It wasn't an upgrade, I install vista from a blank partition. It installs part from XP then after it does its first restart bootmanager gives you an option of continuing the installation of vista and somehow it has enouph info to install the rest of it.
