I think it might depend on where you are and what satellite you're on for the bigger dish. You should'nt have to upgrade the dish just to go to the pro plan. But yeah it would cost more, don't know how much.

Yeah it has been for a few weeks, but they are supposed to be working on it. Unfortunately it usually takes forever....

hey tony...use the largest file for download...and the 579 file for upload...you'll probably see better upload results with that..and probably the same download...it takes a little more than 97KB for the transmitter to "warm up" so to speak...

wow, must be only a few transponders that are bad over there...... although most of the complaints ive seen are from people with the dw7000...i think they are still working kinks out at the NOC..

When you do it, just let the screen close by itself...dont interupt it.. basically, I think it pretty much sets your timing to the network, the higher the rate...the better... your signal strength will fluctuate all the time.

on that page that you got the information form, there is a link to a process called Force Ranging. CLick it, and see if it tells you that you have a rate code of 256 4/5. That is what you should have on 89W. However, the satellite you are pointed at is having problems, and Direcway is working on it. There really isn't much you can do about it right now.

you'll probably need a new registration number to register it on the satellite too.... Call and tell them you are trying to setup an account using USED equipment, and tell them what satellite you are pointed at. They might end up forcing you to have an installer come out, which will cost about 200 bucks, but I suppose you might be able to call a local installer and get their rate first. Hey Aggr3, are you enjoying the misery that is Satmex5?...lol... Don't worry, the new default install satellite is AMC9, and thats the one im on...so they'll oversell that guy soon too i bet....

That file is in your temp files.....run a disk cleanup and make sure to delete temp files, and you should be good to go.

that depends on manufacturer. Look up a users guide for your modem and it should tell you. It isnt much different than on a router. I did it for a friend one time and he had some sort of modem from sprint with a web interface. It was cake...

I know some DSL modems actually have firewall built it, so there might actually be some port forwarding needed on the modem.

Dway's bigest problem will always be their lack of knowledgeable tier 1 support, esp for people with consumer level service.
