  1. The birds were using for Sat Internet do not orbit the earth, they are in rotation at the same speed as the earth in a precise path. Each is at there their own particular location noted in degrees.
  2. well thanks for clearing that up for me ah..ah... I think I understand, UT2004 is a sub so they would all be in the same boat...ah....uh-huh
  3. Welcome to the forum beefjerky I use Sat internet and no where near your speeds. I don't game but with my humor I thought to myself just put everyone in the same room to reduce lag.
  4. rad159, A very good explanation in your post, nice job. And a welcome from me also.
  5. Yes today is good, I made it out to get the paper and back in 57seconds and no delays in the hops. By the way joeandjan518, nice speed also.
  6. OK, I understand that and if not already said by someone else glad to have you here on the forum.
  7. Not to butt in here, so that means that you use the ip's decimal number for your pop3 and smtp instead of the name.name.name to eliminate the DNS server. I have read about some some doing this but I didn't pay attention and understand the reason, good idea.
  8. I have done this before and it can work but everything new has to register in the OS, new motherboard, video, sound and so on and all the new drivers. If parts were transfered from the old they are still in the OS. Either way takes time and patience.
  9. What do you mean tommie, you cleaned out the dirty parts or you deleted them?
  10. I'm not sure about the debit card but I agree with disturbed, that amount will not be available for you to use until released. I think with a credit card it is a hold on the specific amount and it will reflect on your card only if this amount puts you near or over your credit limit. What that means is that amount is held and lowers the amount of credit left on that account. Of course you are not billed for this but just ties it up. You will be billed if the old is not returned within the 30 days. I added this based upon and it may give you an overdraft.
  11. Maybe that was a typo and was to mean 2 pints.
  12. Gee tommie, I thought Ace was higher and even over the
  13. Maybe when its a home video? Just guessing here. I wonder, would that be for the "Flying Squirrel" group that is all left pawed?
  14. josephMEKANIC, Personally I dislike Verizon also. Verizon refused to repair my phone line a few years ago, but did give me credit for it which I drained it down to almost the last penny over about 18 months and then transferred my home phone number to Sprint. I wasn't giving up my 30+ year old number. Too much time on your hands, I have a lot of fire wood to split.
  15. Probably went into shock , those paper cuts can be bad and painful especially coming off the flat side of a paper folder onto the fat side of a head.
  16. As compared to what other satellite provider? As I remember Hughes has been leasing satellites. I'm curious as to which one is the fastest at fixing and to what type of problem, hardware or software.
  17. It's IA-8, correct, and all the birds are good or they wouldn't have spent the money to put them up. Have you checked you signal and ACP numbers. This could tell if your dish is not zeroed in the first check for your problem. The 2 areas you need to look fro this are; http://192.168.0.1/ and http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html (this area has the ACP but if you have rebooted your modem in the past 3 days it will be 0)
  18. Is it just you that can have all the fun?
  19. I haven't had a laptop apart yet but I have seen fans in PC's spin on start up and then after booting I have noticed they have stopped. The solution for me was change the fan so in those cases the fan must have been bad, therefore "new fan".
  20. tommie, What a face you made there. You ought to see how much when I used my last name, wow, $$$$$, but I didn't add my first like your's was.
  21. I know you can get new (no warranty) or used equipment and have it commissioned as used equipment and no contract. Usually about $200 for an installer to setup and have activated, Hughes requires a registered installer. I can't say anything about the other Satellite ISP's.
  22. http://leapfish.com/domain_name_appraisal.php?url=granpa.com I think i have a buyer.
