  1. I've had problems after installing and uninstalling programs and not realizing the buildup of junk in the registry. I now use a free reg cleaner along with the other protective apps. mentioned. Try http://www.tweaknow.com/RegCleaner.html , it may help your problem.
  2. Yeah it really gets annoying at times tommie, doesn't it? They knock out the TV sat signal at times. I live about 3 miles from the Air Base here. My grandson and I watched many transports last summer. I was just wondering, tommie, how far do you live from that UFO Base?
  3. Just did this test and a airplane flew through my signal path and all light s stopped for a few seconds. :::.. 4. Modem reset yesterday and mine is at 3. Was 400+ before the reset but forgot to check. Maybe it's just an accumulation of things that can't be explained and doesn't mean anything but just noted.
  5. He is probably fortunate to be in one of the areas that have a hot spot. Go to www.jiwire.com and it may show up in their locator.
  6. Well tommie it looks like the revision A is still being implemented into the network so I'll set and wait a while. I do like playing sat hobby and soon I'll be in my wood shop and need a music system and maybe some FTA TV. I will network my Hughes into the building, wireless or wired
  7. Brand SAMSUNG Model 940N Contrast Ratio 700:1
  8. Walk into the wind, you'll be OK.
  9. , , only in America the not to service all.
  10. I wouldn't count on signal skip for a digital signal. I think you need to look at signal gain. CB radios used skip and others but thats different. I believe digital cell works more like wireless networking, clear line of sight is best. Also the range is much less than earlier analog, the reason for so many more towers and closer together.
  11. Not this time, locked on.
  12. I think your referring to the summary page? The Miscellaneous Problems must have to do with the transmitter since it is also found in the transmitter general stats but I don't know what it means. Mine is presently at 382 but I don't know how long it's been at that, everything seems to be working.
  13. If you have a low signal there are antenna systems that will work and best if your use an adapter with a external antenna connection. There also is a repeater system that can be used to bring the signal in the house for all wireless on the same cell system. Last I checked it was about $300.
  14. tommie, You may want to do some research on www.dslreports.com since there was discussion on this back a few months ago. People jumped on Verizon only to find themselves getting shut down because of a cap on the throughput somewhere in the contract. My cousin had it for a week and got her money back. From what I can remember I believe Sprint and Cingular were the ones without the cap. I have been following this somewhat for the past year but I want to network without ICS.

    Problem

$89.99 would be for a HN7000s Pro Plus with static. I would really call billing and check into it. I got a DW7000 a year ago that only booted once. Returned it after getting a new one and 6 weeks later was charged $199.99 for it and the original $49.99 upgrade had been paid 2 months previous. Also they charged me some other fees that I had knocked down through the billing office.

  18. You need that information to get into the WRT and the information to set the Netgear to the network unless the WRT is at default settings.
  19. Happy Birthday Water I would send you some fresh flowers but it's about 20 degrees here and the garden is covered with 4-5 inches of white snow, snowcheck? Happy Birthday anyway. [move] [/move]
  20. Completely different, that's why they won't give you an account without the presence of an installer. Receive and transmit involved here.
  21. If your using a wireless try to eliminate it and use the PC you need hooked directly to the modem and do it for 24 hours if possible. Don't shut the modem down only the computer or laptop during this time. Do you know if someone is tapping into your network? With this happening recently it sounds like someone is. Impossible to get a signal that high,110 , my highest is been 83 with a .74mdish.
  22. Do you know if you've been FAP'ed from near the beginning. Many get sat internet and with the new speed FAP themselves without even knowing by downloading music videos and large files. If you have used the HughesNet site for speed testing you had to use a site ID. Try the upgrade section and use this ID and see what results you get. If you can't upgrade through the web site then buying a DW7000 modem is an option. You can probably close the Earthlink account over the phone right when you have a HN account working. Open a new account, check pricing here www.hughesnet.com You've got to be running over your limit constantly with all the activity. Sat internet is limited and the plans vary as to how much use you need, simply put more needed then more/month.
  23. Welcome to the forum unitychild 1) You mentioned 3 computers use this system, how do they connect to the modem and is there wireless networking? 2) Have all 3 been cleaned for spyware and viruses and all temp cleaned, also defragged? 3)Your husband uses one, you use one, who uses the third? 4) Have you tried unplugging everything (Network cable only) from the modem for 24 hours? Nobody can tap into your system unless their plugged into the modem and should clear your FAP and be sure you keep the modem on. Respond to the first 3 and then try the 4th unless you have dial-up or other internet access while your system is isolated. This is a process of elimination so we need to do a few things at a time in an orderly fashion to find the true problem. We'll be waiting.
