  1. Sometimes you need to uninstall all the USB devices in control panel that have been used so it can be found under the new bios and re-inserted with the new drivers..
  2. I never had to bring any wine back, if I forgot something at the store I got all the whine I needed when I got home.
  3. I wonder who brought them here?
  4. Didn't light one, people could see where we were if we did.
  5. Welcome to the forum WizARD I missed some postings the past 12 hours, need a break. Been snowing the past few hours, light, but my signal has been right around 72. A little correction, DirecWay can't give you the goods, it's now HughesNet and they can't give you the goods, [move]you need to buy it. [/move] Welcome again.

I know what you mean. It seems many with problems are having problems just running and maintaining their PC"s let alone networking and then add sat on top of that. My cousin's wife called me (our installer told here they only do the sat and no networking so I was recommended, thanks) so I went over. A good machine sitting, hardly boots, full of spyware and other things bogging it down so the sat won't even work and now a brand new laptop running XP given to her. I said I'll show you what to do to prevent this from happening to the laptop. Her reply "I don't want to know nothing, just turn it on and do what I need to", a nurse mind you. I'm glad she retired. I looked at her and said "there is no way I can help you" so I picked up the router and my other things and said "see ya".
  7. simi-dimpskin I'm glad you finally have come to an understanding of your system, no matter what you do on it it counts toward your usage. Many using sat have upped there plans not for faster D/U but for a higher FAP. Even your testing counts toward your usage. It does cost more than cable or dsl but it works well even being limited. I'm glad that this forum has helped you so you didn't feel alone with the problem. Later
  8. Sparticus, I spent many hours on that river. I have a black&white picture of the bridge not connected from when my dad worked on it. The low side of the big eddy on the right I spent all night with my uncle the day after our firs was born. We had spears back then. I have water skied t within 1/2 mile below that bridge, fast water.
  9. It would really depend on the features you want. The thing I look for first is the longest talk time. As you battery dies your range drops. I then look for features I need. The M1 seems to have the longest talk time of 3.8 hrs.
  10. daytrader, I'm guessing you do the spyware (daily), cache cleaning (daily) and other measures for a good running clean PC? What are the parameters of your system found @ 192.168.0.1 under system info in the SAT section?
  11. I never had one of those since I had an account when switching modems. What modem and plan do you have?
  12. If you check the bottom of a posting many times it will show the ISP members are using. If your running a set-up disc then you must be using a 4000. I'm not positive but the disc may not have the last firmware. The 4000 really no longer has much support and it seems Hughes has been trying to weed them out. Fortunately there are tweaks you can use but from comparing my DW7000 to my 4000 I would not go back.

I have really never seen a yellow (system status button, correct?) during weather, it has only been out for less than a minute so I never checked. I couldn't see the street so I just knew.
  16. Now up to 6 inches but it is light an fluffy, got rid of the mud. Sun is out and it's about 21 degrees. Do you skin the cat? Any ice fishing?
  17. Do I have another hidden camera around here? 4:30 got the paper and read it, got my dogs barking when I was out, feed me. Right now there is 4 inches of snow over the ice crust.

Nope, the first only made one boot and never got registered, the second died early Sept and under warranty, now my time will expire, I guess it's 15 months, so I say May.

There is a possibility that your power supply is dropping off. There have been problems that could never be figured out but went away after a PS change. Modem could be next, I have a DW7000 and I'm on my 3rd in just about 1 year.
