cool ok thanks i'll download tomorrow edit- which would you prefer and why on the kde or gnome kernels? edit2- and would you think its worth having xgl for the effects and stuff (im assuming if i get it i can still turn it off)

its on my new pc: amd athlon 64 2.4ghz, 2gigs of ddr2800 ram, EVGA geforce 7950GT, 120gb western digital harddrive, biostar tforce 550 mobo, xp pro, and cd drive is a liteon dvd burner. when i try to install it it asks which kernel do i want and it doesnt matter which one i pick it just freezes right after that. but i dont want to take this thread and turn it into a help one for me unless you can answer easily lol since its your thread to begin with

the photos didnt work for me (i was on a friends pc) but now that i see it i guess i should have edited my post

i voted linux and windows boot. becuase when i try to install suse 10.2 it doesnt matter which kernel i go with it always just freezes up my pc.....even on a live cd it just freezes.... so i'll be curious to find out about that

Nice at 1280x1024 i get about 159 fps during the stress test on counter strike source...i only have a single core 2.4ghz amd athlon 64
