It could be due to the cable.. that is really cheap for $50 of cable.. not sure about the quality.. Do you have the drivers installed.. and could you move the computer and test it with a different, short, cable just to rule out bad cable?
Finally someone has created a video walk though.. pretty much goes through all of the "new" features that the upcomming version is going to have..

Personally I think that this is just ridiculous. We should be free to do what ever we want to do with our software and hardware.
Yeah it is possible to connective via DSL with out using the software suite.. If it was really important to him I would have him setup ICS and have a dedicated computer just remain on the net 24/7.. then get a switch or wireless router and use that do distribute the connection.. i have never tried to do this.. so I can not guarantee that it is going to work.
if you arent using windows xp x64 linksys is just blowing smoke up your butt.. My guess is that the wireless is not optimized for the new adapter. you should be able to get 100kbps-300kbps slower than the wired connection to the modem or router. So unless you are running x64 windows xp you dont need to worry about getting x64 drivers. Since no one is really running x64 not many manufactures are spending the time or money to develop them. Now when vista comes out that is going to be a different story.
Yeah.. medical, design, photography.. did you see what she was doing with those photos.. even the military..
I am going to have to do some more research..
Most manufactures are already intergrating 10/100/1000 into the southbridge.. in fact since the introduction of gig lan most of the newer motherboards offer dual onboard. This could be for multiple reasons..
