  2. :haha: LOL this guy is funny. I doubt it's real though. Where is the traffic noise in the background? It sounds too quiet to me.

  4. If the host is Verizon.net and you see scores up to 30Mb then those test's are probably real. Verizon has a 15Mb and (yes) 30Mb! plan.
  5. Maybe a way to get more pepole to post messages could be to have members have a certain number of posts before they can use the members only server. Ex: "You must post at least 10 messages before you can do a speed test on this server" Out of the 8000+ members, less than 200 or so post "regularly".

  12. Looks good. What are your ISP's advertised speeds?
  13. I never asked. I think they like it down. Everyone seems to leave it that way.
  14. I want one of those! lol Anyway, I usually leave it down. I still live at home. Not that there's anything wrong with that. When my syster is home from college, it's 2 guys and 2 gals.
  15. To do a ping test go to Start>>Run> type in cmd A black screen with c:documents and settings*user name* should appear. To do a ping type "ping testmy.net" without the quotes and press enter. To copy those results RIGHT click in the window and select "mark", Highlight what you want to copy and press enter. To paste that in a message, right click and select "paste" or press "Ctrl+v" Doing a trace route is similar. At that same screen type in "tracert testmy.net" and follow those other instructions again. We can help you interpet the results.
  16. If the lightning strike damaged the cable, your modem may also have been somewhat damaged if it was connected. You may want to have them check your modem.
