  1. i've come to a shortage of well lit photographs to paint! i need the members of testmy.net's help and in exchange you get to be painted or drawn, and maybe even immortalized on my growing website. www.misteradam.com so please post your pics here, i'm looking mainly for head portraits, but if its a cool pose i might do a body shot. ( no nudes) an example of a well lit photograph is one taken by a professional photographer, one without a flash, and one that has strong shadows in it, like the one of Reno or Van Buren on the 'what do you look like' thread. thanks in advance for anyone who posts, it's very much appreciated! if you have any questions, PM me and i'll edit the answers into this post if deemed necessary
  2. fighting games don't work with a keyboard and mouse. i think halo was better on the console because the gameplay was designed around the xbox controller, and it felt perfect.
  3. i'm a born console gamer, however, with an exeption of halo, i think shooter games and real time strategy games fit the keyboard and mouse much better. fighting game? no way a PC could outdo a console. RPG back when they were good? console for me!
  4. look at it this way , no matter how things turned out or could have turned out, it would still be very corrupt. its human nature, so count your blessings and write some hate mail to your local government.
  5. heres my pimp mobile except this pic is of a newer one

  11. REH is correct, except about the magic part lol. theres no great secret to painting, all i do is put down what i see, and try to alter certain things about the colors and values to make it more interesting. but thanks for lookin! there's not much there because i'm intending this site to be a record of all my portraits i'm doing and i'll put them up as i do them. i'll eventually have a cool template and logo, and hope to one day commission portraits and other illustrations freelance...but for now i'm still a newbie : )

  14. i wouldnt say its an exact likeness but its close enough. im learning a new program called Painter, and i like the variety of mediums it offers. this was an oil paint simulation that i like the gruff look of. i spent roughly 2 hours on it. i usually spend 2-5 hours on portraits unless i were to do a commissioned portrait i would spend at least 10 hours getting it right. did eric see it?
  15. i'm 21 by the time i get out of school i'll be most of your ages i'm in it for my BA of fine arts, seriously considering going for my MFA in painting/illustration, but it depends on the availability of work in the future
