I have just found the best download accelerator ever.Its called LeechGet and the best thiing about is 100% free. I downloaded a copy of freeBSD in less then 6 min. My download speed was twice as fast (as you can see by the screen shot below) with only 10 connections open. You can get it from hear http://www.leechget.net/en/ have fun with it.

Ive heard a little about this plan. From what i understand, the 10mb/2mb is a mini upgrade to test the network integrity because they have compleatly upgraded the network to docsis 2.0 form 1.0. This should only be in place for a little while because comcast/adelphia is upgrading to 16mb/2mb. only time will tell.

i Have used 3 different modems Some motorola Toshiba PCX 2000 and a Dlink DCM 202 and the dlink DCM is by far the best. i have had it for 3 months now and i have never had to reset it, reboot it, or power cycle it ever. This is to all you AMD guys, i am hear to prove to you that when a intel system is setup right it can beat anything. I have a 2.8GHz P4 with 1GB of ram and a BFG 6800 128MB no OC'ing. and organ_shifter "pcmark 05 score right above me" has a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ and 1GB of ram with a ATI 9700Pro. Now if you take a look at my score compared to him i am 777 marks better then him. Now on a processor that is suppose to be sugnifently better then mine, i kicked its ass. So this proves that a intel system when setup right can kick any AMD 64.

Adelphia/comcast is going to beat Cox, with there 16MB/2MB connection, and since adelphia always over caps your more likely to get 17mb/2.5mb. They are going to roll it out exactly whare Cox and Verizon Fios is then filter out from there. Well see what verison and Cox do about this.

a friend of mine has Bellsouth DSL, and he told me that a week ago he got a email saying that bellsouth is going to upgrade there service to 4mb down with 384kb up. And i would like to know if anyone else got this message. And on this move to only increase downloads to 4mb when adelphia/Comcast is upgrading to 16mb on download, How do you rate bellsouth.
