How stupid do you think we are. first, off thats a photoshop edit, and not a very good one. second, there are no diagnosis results saying how much faster or slower in % you are. and finally in the results conparison your about 256kbps. you should try harder next time to get all your info right.

look into the dell 9300 http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspn_9300?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs its a much better notebook, I have it with the 6800 and i love it. doesn't get hot and very quite. + the performance is next to none and with the HP you only get a SXGA display with the Dell you get a UXGA display, so much better. This notebook is far Superior to that HP also you get a much better processor the amd turion is not that good. Pentium M all the way. I can't wait for a duel core 3GHz Pentium M, look forward to them at IDF this fall.

If you format a HD its wipes the index when you do a quick format when you do a full format it wipes the entire platter clean, then creates a new index, so there is no chance of getting your data back ever.

dumb ass. First off its so wrong to steel one's computer or anything that someone else paid for, second if your going to do it then do it right. Turn off the wi-fi and format that thing the minute you get it with out going into windows. That guy needs to go to jail , for being so stupid.

Yes there is, It all depends in the quality of the memory chips itself. Most lowrate compainies will use samsung memoy, whatch has a very high latency. A company like corsair or crucial is making there own memory chips to there high specs. so they give it a low latency. Personaly i like curcial memory, i have used several different manufactors, and they seem to be the most reliable, and the fastest.

Swimmer im not in atlanta. Whare did you get that info. And with DSL You phone line goes direct to the Dslam, then the CO. With cable you line comes from The CMTS to another, then another and so on, then back to the CMTS.

DSL is slightly more dedicated then cable because with dsl you have a stright shot to the Dslam, whare as with cable your line is tied in with maby 100 other houses. Also DSL Has The advantage of working all the time, because when you loose your cable TV your internet goes out. Your never gonna loose your phone, because the dslam is self powered for 7-10 days. And even when the power goes out during a storm dsl will still work. For Example last year when we were hit by 2 hurricane's in Florida The power was out for a week from both. I had dsl at the time, my friend down the street had cable. we both had generators also. His interenet didn't work, mine did the hole week we had no power. Theirs a reason why DSL is better then cable.

I have had CABLE, and DSL. They are both very good, and have there ups, and downs. If you are going to be downloading and uploading alot of files, go with cable. If you are going to be surfing the web, going to lots of webpages, and gaming, get the fastest DSL line you can get. Cable has a big speed advantage, in long term downloading. DSL Has a better burst download/upload rate, so thats why webpages load faster, and online gaming is better for DSL. When I had Adelphia 6mb/768kb my pings in battlefield2 where never lower then 80 in a us server, and never goes below 130 in a uk server. On my Bellsouth 3mb/384kb connection, my ping in battlefield2 never goes above 45, in a us server, and 60 in a UK server. There you have it Cable better for massive and longterm downloads, DSL better for burst downloads.
