dam!!!! i would call them first and have them run a line test on that and see if they get the same result of speed.

nevery herd of this i still can't beleve that they only upgraded to 8/768 when adelphia is going to 16/2, and they own adelphia

your less then half of your advertised speeds, i bet your speeds are so low because you live very far from the C.O. so downgrading might not be a bad idea.

if you had read some of the other post about the extream 6.0 you would have found out that bellsouth delayed it because of katrina.

you gotta remember thats a dedicated SDSL line so your going to get thoese speeds for real. I have 1 at my office and its very fast i can't tell the difference between that and the T1 we have.

i use limewire is good, better then kazza, exeem, bearshare ect. but bittorrent farexcedes all of them its much more relyable and faster, + its used for legal stuff.

a P3 would work with all the visiuals turned off. even then it will chug along.

just- i know the department head at http://bfgservers.com whare my server is. plus i designed and built there entire website, so it was kinda a trade off i make the site, and i get this really fast connection and server for really cheep. And yes i do host some public game servers on it i always have a few going, right now i have a halo server and 2 BF2 servers going. + alot of i host some very big video files for a friend who does some iptv stuff.

actually i share the connection with only 20 or so other computers. The place my server is at has 6 0C48 connections. 2 OC192 Connections, and a cupple OC12 connction. This place whare my server is, is designed for super high traffic website/services and very large gaming servers. and resopalrabotnick my server has 6GB eathernet cards in it on a interlace system.

im 100% positive i have unlimited bandwidth, and i have no daily bandwidth limit. For just this month alone so far i have used 1813.34GB of bandwidth, in 15 days. take a look at this screen shot of my awstats for this month so far.

Just got off the phone with bellsouth and was told that the extreme 6.0 would be avaiable in my area october 6th. if you are on bellsouth please call 1-877-459-1754. and ask them when it will be avaiable in your area. maby if enough people ask about it they will start it soner.
