  7. its your NIC card, if you recieve that with wireless then there is something wrong with your NIC Card. Follow these steps on your wired computer.: Go to Start>Control Panel>Right Click on Local Area Connection>Properties On the properties menu you should see somehting that says something like Fast Ethernet Adapter or Ethernet Connector or something with a configure button beside it. Click the configure button. then go to Advaned on the menu that comes up and find Connection Type(maybe different on yours) but the drop down menu has options in it like 10Mbps(T) Half Duplex 100Mbps(Tx) Full Duplex wiht a few more. make sure that the setting in the box is 100Mbps(Tx) Full Duplex. Try that and see how it works for ya

  9. i think they want their own private infrastucture so they can make their site(s) completely redudant and stable with uber low ping times and uber fast load times
  10. After reading about google building this massive fiber network on DSLR and hiring Vint Cerf I have come to this conclusion: Google is engineering a whole new protocol that will use their fiber network as means to provide internet service(which I am dubbing G-Fiber or Gable) with the possibility of nationwide Wi-Fi.
  11. My school has dual T3 lines, but there are no computers that can get over 10 Kbps because we have kids that think that clicking every add and signing up for a free xbox 360 actually do some good. f*cking idiots.
  12. its actuallly closer 2-4 months
  13. The maxing out the node, depends on the ISP(due to different tiers available). The current node capacity is 38/10. As to how many people are on each node, you really have to go Door-to-Door and ask if they have cable internet. If your ISP is comcast and everyone would have the standard tier it would take about 6 people downloading at full speed to max out the download and it would take about 30 people uploading at full speed to max out the upload. But if you have 20 people on your node downloading something, then you will see a drop due to over-crowding/lack of bandwidth.
  14. I have heard good/bad about both. In the end its your decision To each his or her own, Cheers
  15. Prices are similar but I also think by reading reviews on DSLR that have Covad as a CLEC they have better service, such as Cyberonic.
  16. it is which is why verizon isn't deploying to large cities. could you imagine verizon crew's wiring a 200+/- unit apartment complex with ONT's for FiOS service?
  17. actually the max is 61 or so I was told by an adelphia tech who was trying to repair it to run lower.
  18. im not too sure, i think you put the hdd in, set it as a slave device using jumpers, then create a partition on it then install it, but im not too sure about that. I haven't done that in a while.
  19. i got a tap sitting here if your bringing a keg
  20. I use StyleXP and really only lost 10-15 seconds on boot time. Maybe less. And as for the customization of everything, i love it! All my friends when they see me turn my computer on and everything is Xbox 360'd they're like Woah! How'd you do that.
