That's not a Testmy problem.... When was the last time you power-cycled your modem?

I think one of the only reason as to why it's faster is because of the software being on your computer; it gives it more tweakability. I don't think there's any changes with the modem directly. What kind of speeds do you guys get without the tweaks?

CCleaner is not just a registry cleaner, it's a good cache cleaner as well, and I think that's what he used it for.

Yeah, isn't XP just Windows 2000 with a different look and a few changes?

Sometimes I have to test two or three times until I get an accurate one, but not this morning.

Before the past couple days, it would test really slow for me. It wouldn't browse much slower than IE, but Testmy.net results would come in lower than IE's. When I downloaded a file with Firefox, it was also just as fast as IE.

My modem rebooted again... just 1 hour after I power-cycled it too. I really hope it's not a hardware problem. It's the same "Hardware Watchdog Timeout".

You guys should test a few times in Firefox... The first time I ran the test I got 1.6mbps, and the second I got around 1.1mbps, and this is my third test. :::.. Ha, right after I said this, it rebooted itself... Reasons are below, notice it says "thurs. 16th". Has anyone else also had their stats clear randomly? Mine did overnight, and they just did a few minutes ago... I havent done a manual reset in a while, it's been up and running for 1 day 12 hours since it rebooted itself.
