  11. My laptop is always plugged in. When I use the battery, it doesn't have as much charge as it used to have and it takes a really long time to charge. I don't know if it's because I always have it plugged in or not, it may just be a bad battery supplied by Dell.
  12. Prove it... Download this and tell me what it finishes at... http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=4428&file=1&evp=4c474bb57847c3afe187709ee43430d7

Here's what it says in the reset log Time of Reset : TUE FEB 14 11:58:36 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : t=tMct /cm_data/pessd/rem2/ssu/wdm.c#235: Reset Type : Valid Software Reset Reset Reason : Software Watchdog Timer timeout in tEvtMgr task For some reason when I don't reset/power cycle in 3-5 days, it reboots automatically for weird reasons.
  14. Congrats on getting the switch frodoboy Looks like you're getting a big speed burst as well, try downloading a larger file (like 10 mb) and see what your finishing speed is. It should be around 130kb/s and that's very good for Direcway. Here's one of my biggest speed bursts ever on the 7000 using the 2992kb test: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 1286 Kbps about 1.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 157 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server2) Test Time:: Tue Feb 14 17:12:46 EST 2006 Bottom Line:: 23X faster than 56K 1MB download in 6.52 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 42.26 % faster than the average for host (direcpc.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-MCJU75896 Upload is a little slow, however. :::.. Here's my transmissions stats. Number of Successful Transmissions 93248 Number of Failed Transmissions 2 Number of Packets Submitted for Transmission 7542
  15. Number of Successful Transmissions 620453 Number of Failed Transmissions 17447 Number of Packets Submitted for Transmission 108060 It's only gone up 1 since 4 this afternoon... *keeps fingers crossed*
  16. It truly is amazing that they can't just keep all the satellites working properly... I guess this is what happens when you oversell bandwidth!
  17. I downloaded something from majorgeeks and I didn't get the high burst (of about 300kb/s for like a second) that I normally get, but I was downloading in the 130's. Maybe that's why pages load so slow at this time of the night, we're not getting speed bursts... That still doesn't explain the slow speed tests, though. When I tested my speed earlier, I got 0.6mbps...
  18. or this one, which I made...
  19. My transmit error problem is gone again... *crosses fingers*
  20. Are you on the same transponder as you were on the 6000?
  21. GAIM is good. http://gaim.sourceforge.net/
  22. I've never understood what inroute group is... mine's at 3 right now. Talk to the the people over on the Direcway forum at dslreports.com, they'll probably know more. It sounds like a hardware issue. Something might be up with your transmitter.
  23. I'm back to the same old failed transmissions problem. I don't get them when I browse/download, but I get them when I try to upload...
  24. So you've tried force ranging before? What's your signal?
  25. Welcome to the forums jreding! What's your rate code? To find out, type "http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html" and look for rate code on the left under 'adapter main statistics'.
